Eeek!  Can you find Purex Free and Clear?  That is an inexpensive, very easy to find detergent that works well for babies and diapers!  Also, I second the choice for soap nuts! You may not need it right now because she's breastfed, but as she moves into solids the cleanup becomes increasingly messy! lol! I also used All free and clear to wash my diapers. I installed a drying rack on the wall that pulled out so I could let my dipes air dry, it's supposed to keep them waterproofed longer. I can't speak from experience here. If you ever use pockets the inside becomes sticky when you use the dryer and it makes it hard to stuff. Therefore you should air dry pockets for easy stuffing. If you want to save money for all your diaper laundry I would recommend making your own detergent using equal parts of Borax, Washing Soda (baking soda will work), and Oxy Clean. I was so excited when I attempted cloth with Julia, but I made the mistake of buying tons of one type and then not liking them and giving up. &lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;These days I literally cannot even keep up with my regular laundry, so I'm still doing disposables.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;But it's funny... b/c I am jealous... but I still know that I won't be making the switch. Sigh. I feel like a terrible earth killing mother... but what to do... At least I am doing better about trying to cut down on paper towels. Baby steps right? The cloth diapers were such a much better experience for us and the babies.  We also saved a ton of money.  &lt;BR/&gt;I love my www.bellabottoms.com. Although we do have some because I too wonder if we will need them when Baby Sister starts crawling (she scooted across the floor - almost army crawl style - the other day). It is funny how much people who cloth diaper truly come to love it. Baby Sister leaks out of disposables too. Although, not at nigh and we do still use disposables at night. I totally agree that cloth performs much better than disposables. &lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;I had my middle child in Bumgenius for two years, and I loved the fit but they were falling apart by the time he turned two. I maybe wasn't careful enough with them?? But the fuzzibunz held up just fine.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;So have you looked into knitting some wool covers? I love seeing others fall in love with cloth diapering.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;We recently went through a huge issue in which we found out the LB is lactose intolerant. Let me tell you that no cloth diaper could have held some of those awful bowel movements. Just trust me.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;Keep on enjoying. The honeymoon period does end eventually and you will think, if only once, "Do I really have to do laundry today?" It is so easy but for some reason we have been programed into thinking it is difficult. It's really not!! &lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;my kids hardly ever get diaper rashes.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;I am a fan of fuzzy bunz...and anything that snaps. When I started cloth diapering, I too was pleasantly surprised by how well they hold leaks.  They totally outperform pampers!  &lt;BR/&gt;A little tip: As Ivy gets older you might notice the bumGenius inserts retaining smell.  A little oxygen cleaner does the trick.
