YEAH!! I am thrilled when I hear parents try diet treatments with meds or because of med failure. We had med failure to control my daughter's seizures. We were encouraged to try a GFCF diet. When she came off the dairy portion her seizures slowed and went away! She only seizes now when she gets some milk or has a infection. God bless you for your strength and wonderful parenting!

This story is truly amazing. Your faith is inspiring. I applaud you for seeking the Bible for his treatment. So many Christians STILL do not believe the Bible to be sufficient for EVERYTHING in our lives - including health issues.

thank you for sharing your story! my son (now 16 1/2 months) had 2 unexplained seizures in july. it was the scariest thing i have ever experienced. luckily he has not had any seizures since then (he just had an EEG and we are waiting for the results) but your story gives me hope that if he does continue to experience seizures, there is another way other than just medication. i pray he won't experience anymore seizures but you will definitely be someone i look to if we begin to experience this again! you can read his story on my blog here: http://tklarsen.blogspot.com/2009/07/my-worst-nightmare.html

I have a number of children with birth defects (and one has epilepsy). You are right. God did not cause them. Why did not God act instantly to cure them? I think the answer is that often the journey is more important than the destination, something that I have seen many times. The good that God has done through my children is remarkable. An instant cure would have been mundane (other than for the fact that it occurred). An instant cure would have helped one person. Through my children, God has helped many children. And that seems to be the case with your Noah, too. I would say that you are indeed blessed.

Steph - thank you for your encouraging story. My Noah is 4 and was just diagnosed with MAE (1st seizure was in may). He is also having 100 plus seizures a day and we are seriously considering the keto diet. Your story encourages me even more in this direction! And thank you for the verses too...I'm sitting in a hospital room as I type and I found great comfort in them. Blessings to you and your Noah!

What an amazing story! My sister was born with CP and has seizures as a result of it. Anyway, as a mother of two little ones, it breaks my heart to think of experiencing what you and other parents have had to experience. Faith is a wonderful gift. It just has to be accepted, right?

I just found your blog from "I Should be Folding Laundry". This is absolutely amazing, I've never heard of this diet for seizures. I'm so impressed that you listened to the Spirit & searched until you found what was right for your son. There are not enough parents that do that anymore! This is such an amazing story of God's infinite wisdom, grace, and love for us. My son has been diagnosed with epilepsy and we're looking to treat it nutritionally. I'm still trying to find a supportive doctor, but I know God is faithful. Thanks for sharing such an inspirational story.

Your faith in everyday miracles restores and refreshes me. God is merciful and kind, all good things flow from him and some of those good things are mighty miracles.

I loved it when you talked about how God knows the beginning from the end. That is a comfort we can take when we or those we love are suffering. Even in our darkest despair, God can see the ending and His perfect love will never fail us.

Its so encouraging to see other moms "standing in the gap" for their kids... my oldest son wasnt talking at the age of three and had alot of autistic symptoms, his speech therapist at the time recommended we have him tested. It just didnt set right with me. I KNEW my child did not have autism. I spent hours and hours researching and I found out about chelation and the GFCF diet...I promise not three weeks after he started this he was talking SO clearly!! I feel that my son is a miracle!!! God is SO good.
