Away We Go

Away We Go

This morning we closed on our house in Indiana. It is sold, done, over!

The movers will be here at the Ohio house on Friday. Like in three days Friday. And next week I'll embark on a dreamy cross-country road trip with my dad and the kids, stopping to see sights and family along the way, until we arrive to a home I've never seen, in a tiny little city by the sea.

  15. I LOOOOVEEEE your blog and I love your journey in life. I am sure it is all overwhelming and you just want to feel home. But I have even told my husband that if we had to move, I would love to because of this blog. Good luck, hope your crew is healthy, and that your journey is a smooth one.

  17. Have a wonderful trip! My only tip would be to have sunglasses for everyone, since I remember how interesting it was to always be driving into the sun during our five day trip in a UHaul. I had no idea parts of Colorado would be so flat, or that our mountaineering tent would go through its fiercest storm not on a mountain but in Kansas, and I was suprised that Wyoming didn't name their state plant the sagebrush plant. They had enough of it. So did I. ;) Oh, I hope you love, love, love the west coast and the ocean and all the beauty it holds here. It sneaks into your blood somehow, and you become smitten.

There are so many amazing places along the way. May you have safe travels, lots of fun memories and good adventures along the way, and even a fun divine appointment or two. I am soooo excited for you guys and what will unfold in this new chapter of your lives.

  19. Good luck to you, and safe travels! My, what an adventure. As I have been trying to pack and purge things from our house to get it "show worthy" so that we can put it on the market, often to no avail since the children seem to keep needing to eat, and play, and go to school, and bathe and all that stuff (the nerve!)...I can only imagine what all of this moving has been like (and continues to be like) for you!
