The Journey

house hunting

We are having fun on our latest house hunt. Annnndddd I think we might have found an awesome home to rent. I completely forgot to take pictures I liked it so much but I figure there will be plenty of time for that (hopefully!)

After seeing it, we went to dinner and this was Jeff's fortune...

So we might end up not owning a house for a while but how fun is it that we'll still be able to continue our search for the one we really love? We'll be together and really that's all that matters right now.

  3. So exciting!! I adore your pictures. We used to go to Akron zoo quite a bit, and it's my favorite. So small and quaint, but well done. I love the gardens in the back. :) Excited to follow your journey, as I miss home in NE OH (Hudson). We are now headed to KY soon, but maybe we'll see you down the line... :-) (makes me want to move back, just so I can hang out with you!)

  4. You're right-being together is all that really matters. Our family of 6 lived in an apartment last summer and the kids have fond memories of it (except we didn't have a tv-do NOT ask them about that!)

  6. We rented for three years. Until our landlord raised our rent so high we couldn't NOT buy.

And we found our perfectly perfect house.

All good things come to those who wait. Or rent because meh and then have no choice due to a greedy landlord. :)

  7. I AM THRILLED FOR YOU GUYS! You are doing the right thing by not buying right away and settling for something you really don't love. God is leading your way on your journey and I just love watching it unfold...I love you guys so much and can't wait to see what's ahead. Love the zoo pictures. And what an awesome fortune.

  10. I'm moving in 2 weeks and while I really wanted to buy, there just wasn't anything we loved. We found a very cute rental from a very sweet family. It is the right choice for us because it gives us time to really get to know the area and find our practically perfect home. Best of luck with your (hopefully) new house and your move!!

  11. Congrats on finding a place to rent. Even though it isn't exactly as you envisioned, you have great perspective.

Your kids look like they are having a blast at the zoo. Did you check out the new Journey to the Reef exhibit? My kids love the octopus.

    Welcome to Ohio!

  12. So true. The house we've been in for the last 18 months isn't my dream house, and it isn't our forever house. But we are together, healthy and (mostly) happy - that is what matters.
