This is the summer of.

DSC_0189

Maxi dresses and nail polish and tanned skin and freckles and baseball and bed head and Beach House and  Fran├žoise Hardy and watermelon and the beach and outdoor concerts and the splash pad and reading old books and writing new words and sushi and art and no-TV and parks and iced coffee in a big jug in the garage fridge.

And we're only on day four.

  3. She is adorable! And it does sound like a pretty sweet summer. My four year old is obsessed with trying all of the amazing manicures she sees on Pinterest lately. There will definitely be a lot of nail painting at our house this summer too:)

  5. I love those kinds of summers!! We used to have them a lot when our son was younger...now there is a bit more work involved...but we still try! :) Enjoy.

  7. Your summer makes me all warm and fuzzy. And desperate to find a container big enough so I can try that coffee recipe.

  9. Those lashes! Ivy is precious.

I see she's reading "Romeo & Juliet." What a cultured family you have. ;)

Also: my 3-year-old LOVES watermelon. I'm pretty sure it's her favorite food.
