Pigtails are back.

PIGTAILS

Ivy's hair is long enough for pig tails again. She likes to wear it up for dance class. I think we'll keep growing it for a while.

It feels like forever ago, but right around the time I starting blogging we were in the thick of epilepsy and recovery. We walked a few years as Team Buddy Bears in the Epilepsy Foundation walk. Noah is now seizure-free seven and a half years. Hold on, that should be all capsed: SEVEN AND A HALF YEARS.

This year, my dear friend Erin will be running for her Tommy in the Epilepsy Foundation Chicago 5K. You can read about and support Team Tommy here. My hopes and prayers for us all to see an end to seizures.

xoxo

  2. I clicked onto this expecting to read about Ivy's pigtails, and then I started crying. Thank you so much. I didn't know that you used to walk for Noah... it's such a good, big thing. I can't thank you enough for spreading the word. Epilepsy makes you feel so powerless, but this makes me feel like I have a little power over it (and we're on our longest seizure-free stretch yet... I'm whispering that quietly).

  9. Yay Noah! That is just so awesome for him. Ivy is cute as can be with her piggies. I love when Ruby asks for them too :) I got Piper this barrette from the dance store that has pink tulle on the bottom of it and all you have to do is put the hair in a pony and shove the rest in that pink tulle. It sort of looks like a bun and they still ask for me to put it in when they are playing dress up. Have a great day!
