Oh, Matilda

Before Ivy's library storytime class yesterday morning, I asked if she remembered her teacher's name - to which she scolded me, "She's not a teacher, she's a PERSON who lives in the library!"

I don't mind - and actually prefer - spending more money on good quality clothes for my kids - things that look too nice to wear to the beach and into the lake, but really they wear and wash so well. Most importantly my kids have got to be able to play and get dirty.

  1. That first one is a gorgeous picture of Ivy and the lake. It sure makes me miss the Great Lakes.
    I totally agree with regard to quality clothing. I don't spend in other areas (i.e. no car, no cable tv) but am happy to fork over a few extra bucks for clothing that holds up to wear and tear and busy kiddos.

  2. i love matilda jane. it is expensive, but i love the fabric. so far everything has washed nicely. wish i could sell that to my hubbie though!!

  149. I totally agree- I'd rather spend more money on clothes that I love, than buy a bunch of cheap stuff that I don't really like. I've made that mistake before.
