Voices Carry

how do i make a gif

Vacations are fun because you get to shop at Walgreens and that makes me feel like a kid again. Does anyone shop at Walgreens when not on vacation or sick at two in the morning?

Our neighbors across the river had a sing along one night, strums and voices carried themselves over to our quiet dwelling. A guy played guitar and a girl sang "From a Distance" and her voice was not perfect, but that's what I loved about it. It was beautiful.

  1. Perfect imperfection. That's been my life-theme lately.

(Oh...and Walgreens? At least once a week. But only because it's the only non-grocery store we have here. *sigh* I miss Target.)

  2. I live on a small cove and last week (or the week before maybe) a boy was playing his electric guitar at night. Hubs and I sat out on our back deck and just listened. It was nice :)

  3. All of it sounds so nice. We don't have a holiday planned until next July, when the twins will be about 14 months old. I'm looking forward to it and am terrified at the same time! I hope we have as good a time as you did.

  4. Being away always helps me appreciate everything more, of course an across the water serenade would probably only intensify this feeling.

Also - we were at the water park Saturday. Everybody's toes (mine included) were dark or super bright. No one had a traditional pink. Seems like you are the trendsetter, one step ahead of everyone else. ;)

  6. Hi Stephanie. I love to hear that you were journalling during your vacation; I find such value from re-reading old entries. A good way to rememember things you've prayed about and can now see how God has answered and been working in your everyday life.
    Love your blog.

  8. Do you remember going camping with our trailer and a tent on the South Platte River in Colorado? Your parents, Nate and Gram went too.

  9. I live 2 blocks from a Walgreens--a brand-new eco-friendly Wags with an electric car charging station and geo thermo heating and a clinic and nice employees --so I go at least once a week.
