I love taking long walks... to breakfast, or the market, or the cupcake place.
I like to swing on the swings with my head hanging back,
watch them when they don't know I'm watching them.
I want to eek out every last drop of summer and I am sure we will...

My husband and I like to have Nerf wars in the front yard. We have two daughters (5&6). Our next door neighbor has four kids. It's pretty funny to see six kids and four adults running around dodging bullets.

Our favorite family thing to do is sidewalk chalk! And of course, my 2.5 year old loves playing with his tractors and trucks in the big tank of dirt we keep to garden in.

ReplyDeleteOur favorite outdoor activities (with boys 12, 10 and 9 months) are jumping on the trampoline, riding bikes to the lake and walking to the goat farm down the street. We are sad summer is over but are looking forward to fall activities :-)

Miles has been so funny lately..

WE also love picnics, when it's not 107 like it has been the whole month of August in TX. (I'm real jealous of your 1.8 mile walks, because we'd melt down here right now...)

Favorite thing to do outside? Swimming, hands down. We are all brown little monkeys at this point in the summer. I hate it when the tan lines fade.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing to do with my three girls outside in the summer is to eat dinner and then sit around the table and talk. Sometimes they will go and play on swingset and sometimes they will play soccer...but we are all out there enjoying the evening

We live somewhere where 110 degrees is the norm so the park by our house with water toys is definitely a favorite place to hang out!

ReplyDeletewell, we aren't allowed to use the outside area here in our complex because the manager thinks kids are too loud. so, we're moving. and i CANNOT wait to stick my daughter in the backyard with some dirt and seeds and water. and an easel with paint that she can get all over. and a can of shaving cream and some popsicle sticks. and a shallow container full of cornstarch and water to drip all over herself. *sigh* two weeks and counting.
