Small Style: paper doll (and a giveaway!)

paper dolls

Enchanted truth be told, I wish I had Ivy's wardrobe. The bohemian princess girly-girl. And certainly her style is a reflection of my own whimsy. I do buy all her clothes. But she is the puller-outer of the drawers and the putter-together of every outfit, head to toe, and I have early on made sure to never cringe or show disapproval but instead delight at her imagination.

Because it is rather delightful. Quite so.

  3. Thank you for posting the whimsical clothes sites. I get tired of the same old carters/gymboree/run of the mill clothes for my girl (with another girl on the way!) I hope I can win!

  4. Oh the simply letting Sugar pull things out of the drawers and closets and put them on thing... I've got to get better at that! We're getting there but Momma needs to lighten up a little more in this department! Thanks for the encouraging nudge :)

  5. I must admit that my girl is wearing what I pick but at just 1 year (and maybe 6 days?) she hasn't yet expressed her opinion. I know I was an 'interesting dresser' before age two so I am prepared that I will turn the reins over to her soon, but for now I kind of like getting to dress her up...her wardrobe is way better then mine thanks to many generous friends!

    Thanks for the great giveaway,
    Heather

  13. Blessed, me too. My personality is one that likes matching and I'm having a hard time letting that go. I tend to pull out the top and bottoms and then let my girl pick her shoes/socks. Then she'll add a jacket, hat and a bag. It's a start. :)

  43. When Ivy is 5, you are going to be so glad you have always let her pick out her own clothes. Amelia really has the best sense of style because I have always (out of pure laziness) let her pick out her own clothes. I love it.

  47. Ivy has such a wonderful sense of style. It's so cool of you to let her chose her own outfits. Do you make purchasing decisions with that in mind (i.e. everything in non-clashing colours?) I have friends who do that, but it seems like so much work.
Nice to hear that the weather is good in the mid-west. Looking forward to being back.
