You'd think that as my children get older it would be easier to photograph them.
Not really.
It took me forever to finally find it, but here's a similar pose of all four from ONE year ago. For real?
And such an original spot- check out TWO years ago here and here. Oh dear.
I used to take photos of my kids on the first of every month, now it's on the fourth. Four for four... get it? You can see past month photos here.

I LOVE that you take these pictures, Stephanie. Every time I see them I am so inspired to take another picture of my four together. (I have yet to get a good one of all of them.)
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet shot. My girls normally let me take a few of them but they are over it pretty fast so I have to be quick to get something I want.
ReplyDeletewait. where's the snow?
ReplyDeletesorry. was distracted. LOVE the photos, of course.
I think this is amazing way to capture how they change, even in little ways, from month to month. I'm totally stealing this idea at some point!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeletesuch beautiful children! i think taking a pic of all of them once a month is a great idea..
ReplyDeleteI love that you do this. But I think I'm told you this 475 times. Why does Ivy look like she's leaving for college tomorrow? TELL HER TO STOP.
ReplyDeleteI think I'll start this, too. 3 on the 3rd. Cute idea and I've noticed that my camera is alarmingly full of pics of my daughter and not the boys... yikes.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a neat tradition, and I look forward to it every month.
ReplyDeleteI love that picture! I have trouble getting good pictures of all of my kids too but I managed one earlier this week. :)
ReplyDeleteWow Steph! Just wow!
ReplyDeleteAwwww, such sweet pictures. And such a good idea to take one every month!! I need to write it on my calendar Right.Now. so I'll actually do it! :)
ReplyDeleteA good reminder, I need to snap some of my kiddos together soon! I'm crawling out from under the winter weather and returning to the world of the living… I can't believe how big Ivy is. What a gorgeous family you have.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how big Ivy is getting.
ReplyDeleteOoooffff. I can't even look at sequential pictures of your little beauties growing up. I should do this, but it hurts my heart a little. Denial, it's my middle name. (They are gorgeous.)
ReplyDeleteLove the similar poses. It's just so crazy how much they change. Getting SO big Steph! ACK! ;-P
ReplyDeletei am positive that the difficulty of capturing a great shot (ie everyone making eye contact and not grimacing nor flashing the world) increases exponentially with each addition to one's brood. i'm sure there's a mathematical equation out there to demonstrate this phenomenon...i'll report back if i find it.
ReplyDeletei love that you photograph your kiddos regular-like. i need to institute some sort of schedule for that too--you're brilliant.
