So thankful for these photos, I took last fall.
Noah turned ten this week, and we got him a cell phone.
!!!
(He can only text and call family.) But it's been awesome, like, more than I thought. He watched his brothers and sister in the nursery at the church for us yesterday and today and would text Daddy if he needed anything. It was such a relief.
Tonight in the car on the way home he texted me, "Mommy can you see the fool moon?"
Yes, I could.

Love those photos, so precious.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. I haven't been able to bring myself to do the balloons yet for my mom. I struggle too much at the cemetary to take my kids w/me.

ReplyDeletebeautiful balloons!
ReplyDeletecharlie and jamie each have old ipod touches/old iphone for games and stuff, and we let them get a free text app and when they have wifi (basically at home or at whole foods) they can text us. it's been SO BEAUTIFUL getting messages while out on a date night like "love you hope you are having fun" and goodnights while i was at blissdom. sometimes they even text me in the same room to say sweet things. absolutely love it. and the misspells are the BEST. <3
Military services are amazing. It's something that never leaves you. (((hugs)))
ReplyDeletePhil's dad was military. The whole thing, taps, the 21 gun salute, the presentation of the the flag...it's all so beautiful and makes you so proud and so profoundly sad at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI love it that it was so awesomely sunny and that there was a "fool moon" the same day.
Steph, thanks for loving my Dad! Aunt Diane

Happy Birthday Noah!
we released balloons after my grandma passed in december, it was the most peaceful thing watching them float into the sky. they seemed to form a big "m" in the sky for her children who were watching from the ground, it was beautiful. I'm sorry to hear about your grandpa, those are great pictures. I'm so glad you're finding peace. Sending you hugs.
ReplyDeleteHow fun that Noah has a cell phone now! I actually am looking forward to those days.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I really like these pictures.

I am so sorry for your loss.
ReplyDeleteBut please please in the future don't release balloons. There are so many ways we can honor our loved ones without releasing cheap bits of rubber that eventually deflate over the sea and kill dolphins (who mistake them for jelly fish).
