February FOUR

FEB FOUR

This is reality. Gray didn't want his photo taken, Noah has a sore throat, and Ivy fell asleep. Carter? He's always ready for his picture- or checking on Ivy girl.

I keep meaning to write this down- instead of saying "Everybody" Ivy says "Everyboy." It's pretty cute. Because in her world, it is all boy every boy.

I used to take photos of my kids on the first of every month, now it's on the fourth. Four for four... get it? You can see past month photos here.

  2. So fun, so real...we have church directory pics from the last 2 directories and my Nathan has the same "I am not smiling for this picture" look...I actually love that is makes the picture less staged.

  3. Oh Classic!!! Love it of course!!! I took about four thousand billion photographs of my kids in the pool today - trying to get eight heads above water all at once- sigh!!!! Impossible!!!

  6. Everyboy....cute. What's it like having a girl after so many boys? I'm sure you've written about it in the past, just don't remember.

  12. I love that Gray not wanting his photo taken doesn't stop him from conveying his precise emotion to the camera. He doesn't hide. "You want my picture? I want my opinion on this matter preserved for all time. Future generations will know I did not approve." I love that very much.

  13. Love this. And great idea choosing a day of the month to take a photo--I need to do that; the months go by so fast and it's easy to miss opportunities if you don't figure out an organized way to document them!

  14. What a great idea! I need some kind of reminder to document things. I have a newborn (baby #2) have taken just a few pics a week of him. A WEEK. What is wrong with me?! Darn mommy brain.....

  15. OhmyGosh, OhmyGosh, OHMYGOSH!!!

Remember how I said I was going to start doing this? Well, I kept forgetting until the 3rd (of both Jan. and Feb.) and have taken both pics on the 3rd of the month. I have 3 kids. I mean WOAH. You inspired me without me even knowing it Steph!!! :)

And love this pic because it's SO real. Just like you.

Seriously, thanks for the inspiration. In many ways...

  16. Sweet Noah...still smiling through his sore throat.

I love that you did this on the 4th instead of the 1st (and didn't feel guilty about it).

Thanks for inspiring us all to...normalcy? Peace in the everyday? (I'm not sure what to call it, but I know you know what I mean).
