Scarfish

scarfish

Gray chose the pattern and picked out the colors at the knitting shop and everything.

I also left the head & tail open in the back so he can warm his hands or make the fish a puppet!

My next challenge is to modify this same pattern and knit Ivy the mermaid scarf she is so set on me making for her.

Scarfish pattern here. I'm BabywearKnittery on ravelry.

Also, I am thankful that Real Moms Guide got the greenlight to continue into 2011. This is a job I really love. I will link up to my recent posts in my left sidebar and also on Facebook, but in the meantime, here are a few things I've written recently. Would love if you get a chance to peruse!

And local readers, I'd love for you to consider attending a special short film showing this Friday night. I'll be there!

  1. love the scarf & thank you for sharing the pattern link as my bestie wanted a fish hat not long ago and now I think I am going to make her one for her birthday (or the scarf...not sure yet)

  5. You did such a great job Steph! I bet he LOVES it!!! Don't you love when you knit something for your kids and they actually like it?? Happens so rarely here that when it does, I have a party ;)

  11. I love this! You are great at knitting. It makes me want to try to knit something. I gave up shortly after I tried to start a few years ago. I will admit, the name for this threw me for a loop and I didn't get it until I saw the pictures. It made me laugh. Thanks for sharing!

  16. This is soooo cute!! I love it! I can't knit, so this will never happen in my house! if I'm seeing things correctly it looks like it is looped through itself to hold it together? if so, that is so neat!

  19. I LOVE that!!! It looks so awesome! I am a bit frustrated with the blanket I'm trying to make; my first few practice mitered squares are not quite square....sigh. Good thing I have 6 months before my friend's baby comes to keep practicing...
