Yesterday I was washing the dishes and thinking like I tend to do and I had an awesome idea for an article and I tell you, not sooner did that idea come did it disappear. I could not grab hold of it again for over an hour! I kept back-tracking in my head trying to figure out what I had been thinking about before and tried to follow the train and it never did hit me until randomly somewhat later. And I immediately wrote it down. Is this old age? Is this worn out mom? Is this get some sleep?
Total novelty, today is the day: I am just a handfull of hits away from 1 Million visits to my blog. I am going to try to catch it when it rolls over and see if I can track who the 1 Millionth visit is, just for fun*.
I take photos of my children on the same day every month. .You can see previous month photos here.
*Updated! The referring link for the 1 Millionth visitor was Ruhiyyih's Reflections!

one MEEEEEELION?
ReplyDeleteI would have thought you'd have hit that mark a very long time ago.
You'll always be one million in my book.
One million! So cool.
ReplyDeleteAnd the pic? ADORable as usual! :)
those are awesome pictures!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on a million!
ReplyDeleteI've always enjoyed your first(or whatever)-of-the-month pictures of your cutie pie kids, and look forward to another year of them!
Luv, I meant to start my monthly family photo project on January 1 and totally missed it (in a fit of exhaustion from hosting/feeding people 10 days straight). This is inspiring me to just start whenever. Maybe just shooting for once a month, even if it's not on the same day!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on one million! I really should look at my stats once in a while -- I have no idea where I'm at with that. :-)
i love these. just makes me think of our family pictures...me...surrounded by all of my big brothers. :)
ReplyDeleteSo cool to have one million hits!
ReplyDeleteAnd I forgot about the first of the month, too. Where has time gone?! I think time passes so much faster as you age. When I was 8, time drug on like you wouldn't believe. Now I blink and half a month will have passed me by. Maybe as adults we are all too aware of time. Children never seem to be bothered by time. Maybe that's the key ;)
ugh. i did that the other day about something...just couldn't grab a hold of it & was so frustrated!
ReplyDeletelove those kiddos.
What I hate most is when I come up with a good idea, write something down and then later the prompts do nothing to help me capture the idea.
ReplyDeleteAnd one million...how awesome!!
lovely
ReplyDeleteseeing these angelic faces is just the medicine I needed to feel better today.
ReplyDeletei can't get over ivy's eyes. they are just piercing!
ReplyDeletecongrats on the millionth hit-and many many more to come! you know i always come back to visit!
Squealing for you about your one millionith hit! That's awesome!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture of your kiddos, too. Such a beautiful bunch.
I'm glad you didn't just post the "that'll do" one because they are all so perfect. Cute, cuter and cutest. When Ivy and Peabody marry and have babies, everyone's eyes in the whole world are going to turn bright blue.
ReplyDeleteSweet bebes! I can't tell if Ivy looks like any of the boys but all of your boys look SO much different from each other. Don't you think? Obviously they look like they belong in the same family, since they do, but they look very unique from each other.
ReplyDeleteNell
I love the pictures of your babies! They just warm my heart :) And that whole thought thing happens to me all the time. I think it is because there are too many thoughts in my head that they're just moving out of the way for the next one...it must be exhausting to be my brain!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the pictures! Ivy's eyes are out of this world gorgeous! Such beautiful children!
ReplyDeletewhat a great idea!
ReplyDeleteWould you look at those cuties!!! Gotta totally love them!!!
ReplyDeleteYour kids are so gorgeous...and getting so old. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBri
P.S. I love the new look.
Your kids are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat losing an idea thing, and then trying to figure out what it was has to be a mom thing. I totally started doing that after I had my daughter!
aw, what a sweet and happy bunch! and hmmm, tomorrow is the 5th, perhaps i should post a photo of my five :) i will see what i can work out!
ReplyDeletehave a lovely day!
xo,
erika
p.s. one million visitors is wonderfully rad!! as are you, friend.
Nice pix, Steph, and congrats on hitting one million. Wow! Did Ivy get her grandpa's eye color or what?!?
ReplyDeletelove the pics ... and the idea! congrats on the million! that's wonderful. so happy for you! =)
ReplyDeleteWow, so crazy cool to hit one million!! And I love that you take photos each month of the kids; I REALLY have to get on doing that and just make the time on the calendar so I don't forget. Maybe once the baby gets here it will seem a little easier to remember, since his age will be counted in months again....:) Take care and congrats!
ReplyDeleteOne MILLION! That's so exciting!!
ReplyDeleteI just added you to my must read list ;)
I promised myself I was going to do this starting this month and I forgot! I will have to take a pic this afternoon and call it "January Five". ;) And then you'll remind me next month right? Just kidding... I just love this idea and will love looking back, I know...
ReplyDeleteAnd ONE MILLION?!? Woah! So awesome!
Wow - congrats on one million!
ReplyDeleteI love the 2nd picture with Ivy looking lovingly at her big brothers - just precious.
I'm so in love with these photos -- esp. Ivy's oh so serious face, with all those boyish grins!
ReplyDeleteYou've also inspired me to do a once a month photo shoot :) Here's my first entry!

Wow - Ivy's blue eyes really POP! Is she the only one of your four w/ blue?
ReplyDeleteAlso, I notice that Noah only wears his glasses in some of the photos. Does he only wear them at school or for distances? Also - how long has he had glasses? (Just curious...our 4yo has had glasses for about 4 months now).
