drama!
First of all, my bangs were like, awesome.Hubs is off this week so I am a free bird. Noah and I set off early this morning to juice the last penny out of a Starbucks gift card, and then braved the post office, hair salon (he got his hair cut- adorbs), some Christmas shopping, and then the grocery store.
He asked me super good questions like why did you choose to have a home birth? And do you feel embarrassed when Daddy makes fun of your pajamas? (It doesn't bother me because it's true- I'm quite the Canadian Liz Lemon (I hope you just get that) and so I also bought new night-wear today.)
We got home and I made
Then I washed all the dishes and
thought about this day
and how much I just loved it
and am happy
to be happy
and to love
a
day.

So glad you had an amazing day! Sounds perfect!

ReplyDeleteI was so glad to read that you had a happy day. Mine was filled with ER visits for #3 and a migraine and crabby people.
ReplyDeleteBut. Things are looking up.
making me smile!
ReplyDeleteIt is a wonderful thing to know the secret of contentment. And today you were able to unlock the key to a value quality. To find joy in the things that you have and truly see the delight in being simple is hard for some people, but when others find this secret it is truly wonderful. Today you were very simple. You spent time with your child and was able to open the lines of communication with him. During the time you spent with him you were able to see what was in his heart and then you had an opportunity to put some good things back in it(Deuteronomy 6:6,7). Instructing your children on how to live and helping them to feel safe is a wonderful thing. Then when you returned home you did not forsake your wifely duties of cooking and cleaning and doing some small household chores along the way. I am quite sure your husband is appreciative of the hard work you do(Proverb 31:10-12). I strive to be a good wife to my husband everyday because I know it will make him happy and most of all it will make God happy. I try very hard to understand my God given assignment and role as the wife in the family arrangement. Indeed if everyone understood and stayed in their role in the family, the family arrangement would be much better and we would no doubt have the help of the one who instititued the first marriage, God. I hope you continue to have many more days like this one in the near future and I am quite sure you will if you continue to do the right thing as a wife and mother (Isaiah 48:17,18) : )
ReplyDeletesounds so good.. and yes please share the recipe for the black bean chili and corn cake?? :)
ReplyDeleteI just love you. I live for good bangs day.
ReplyDeleteAlso, someone better get me pajamas for Christmas. Sometimes I sleep in my husband's underwear, knee socks and his t-shirt (SHAME).

ReplyDeleteSounds LOVERLY. I'm off from work tomorrow and hoping I get a "GOOD" day out of it as well!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! I know what you mean about the cookies. We made sugar cookies the other day. It takes FOREVER! mixing, rolling, cutout, bake, decorate. But they taste so good. :D
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had one fantastic day! I love your blog, by the way. Bookmarked!
ReplyDeleteIt is all about the bangs. Truly. The secret of life. Good bangs days.
ReplyDeleteAh, but if you were truly the Canadian Liz Lemon, you would have spelt it pYjamas!
ReplyDeleteA great day for a great family! And that Noah sure is smart and asks big questions! I had to look the Liz Lemon thing up and snorted when I figured out what on earth you're talking about. PJs should be cute, particularly if you're co-sleeping.
ReplyDeleteSounds like an awesome day! Hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
ReplyDeleteSorry all! I am so behind on replying and reading but I did post my black bean chili recipe here- (scroll down)
