Still babywearing.
(Ivy 23 months + 23 days old)
I told hubs I need to hold a baby baby soon-like.
We switched up the babywearing blogger button recently and I'm actually thinking about adding another one (of yours) just for fun- so we can have a couple to choose from to post on your blog if you want to let everyone know you are a babywearer and such, and be linked on the blogroll.
Do you have a photo you'd like to submit for the badge? I will choose my favorite one or two and have Drea make it up for us. Leave a link to your photo in the comments or send it via email if you'd like. (stephanie.precourt at gmail.com)
Psst. Wear your baby today while you still can. I've never met anyone that regretted it.

Love that :)
ReplyDeletei've been wanting to tell you how much i love the new button.
ReplyDeleteI need to wear a baby baby...soon., too.
ReplyDeleteI love the new button.
I love babywearing, and toddler wearing too :-) our girls are 3, 22 months and 3 months and it's seams that I have one of them on my at all timer LOL, our older two fight to be in the ergo they love it :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat carrier to you like best for toddlers?
Beautiful! I need to have more photos taken that have me & the kids in them. Especially those special moments of wearing them & cuddling them. D-man still likes to be worn when he is a cuddly mood.
ReplyDeleteLove! Is that a lake in the horizon in the background?
ReplyDelete@Stam House,
ReplyDeleteMy favorite carrier for toddlers is definitely the mei tai!
@Dolly,
It's Lake Michigan! :)
Steph
Lovely ^_^
ReplyDeleteOh I too so do miss wearing a teeny little one.
ReplyDeleteMy boy is 14 months and still loves being worn; and we love to wear him. In fact we just got back from a week in mexico and we never once used the umbrella stroller that we brought (you know, just in case!).
Simply heaven sent.....gorgeous and peaceful.
ReplyDeletebeautiful.
ReplyDeletei wore bianca all morning & at the grocery store. it was blissful & i couldn't stop kissing her.
yes, i will never regret it.
And what was hubby's reaction to the need to hold a baby baby soon?
ReplyDeleteYou probably didn't see my tweet last week about a woman approaching me at soccer practice and asking me about my sling that Baby K was in. I was a little taken aback because she seemed to have never seen one before. To her credit, she just had a baby a few weeks ago and her other child is almost 7, so I know they were not AS popular back then. Anyway, I was still a little floored. I think I turned her on to getting one (or two!) I have a favorite pic... I will send on...
ReplyDeleteWear on my friend, wear on... ;)
ReplyDeleteI wore my 2 (29mo) little guy on Friday for the first time in a while. I forgot how much I enjoy having him so close. Ironically, the only time he'll let me wear him is when he is feeling under the weather, as the rest of the time he doesn't want to be constrained. I enjoyed every minute and even blogged it: http://themusingsofmichelle.blogspot.com/2010/09/buddy-boy-on-my-back.html
ReplyDeleteI heart babywearing!

ReplyDelete(And we're still breastfeeding over here, too. Going on two. :)
Angelic!
ReplyDeletei love wearing my baby! (in the new performance ergo)
ReplyDeleteI told my hubby that this cannot be the last baby i wear/hold. I think he grew a few more gray hairs. ;)
<3 So sweet. I am still wearing my soon to be three year old regularly. He loves his "mommy rides". I fully intend on wearing him as much as he wants because some day he will be too big. Of course now he has a younger brother to share his rides with.
ReplyDeleteLove the new button!
I feel like wearing Audrey now!
ReplyDeleteVery special picture!
Just took my 12 week old out of the wrap where she just napped. Such a wonderful feeling! :)
ReplyDeleteAlso my 28 month old just said he wanted back in the wrap, too bad he weighs a billion pounds now! :)
Oh yes, we still babywear over here too. Love it, love when she sleeps in the sling, love that she WANTS to be in the sling still.
ReplyDeleteI am in disbelief that my Libby will be 2 on Thursday!!! ACK! Where has the time gone!??!?
I love the new button 2 ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnd that new pic is great as well.
I got a new wrap in today to showcase on SIMPLE, ill attempt on getting a pic with Owen in it.. but my hairs in a wrap itself so im not really loving the idea of having my picture taken ;-)

that is precious!
ReplyDeleteI wore my first daughter from about 5 months in a Moby wrap, and loved every single minute of it. :)
ReplyDeleteWhen my second baby came home, I put her in the Moby immediately, and she is a very happy baby. I had to attend a few formal functions this summer, when she was too little to stay home. I decided to splurge on a fancy new mei tai so I could wear her to the parties. I LOVE it!! I contacted Baby So Smart, and Tiffany was quick to answer my questions. I ordered the Pearliette mei tai and waited not-so-patiently for it to arrive. :) When it did I went CRAZY!! :) The baby was sleeping, so I put my 2 year old in it, and we danced around and laughed. When the baby woke up, I tried her in it, and she was happy as a little clam.
At each party, she was easily the best-dressed, the happiest, and the most comfortable lady there! Dressed in dupioni silk, she was the belle of the ball. :)

Thanks for encouraging all of us to wear our babies. We are all better for it. :)
This is a great reminder. I don't wear Mirielle nearly as much as I should now that she is older...I will though! ;)
ReplyDeleteSomeday I hope someone lets me 'borrow' their baby so I can wear them. I've never had the experience :(
ReplyDeleteHold onto it as long as it feels right to the both of you!
ReplyDeleteNell
You're more than welcome to hold Becca anytime, Steph :) She'd love it!
ReplyDeleteI, too, absolutely love the new babywearing blogger button! I've been meaning to mention it to you. And once our little man gets here in late November (God-willing) you are more than welcome to wear him around, if you haven't decided to add another to the brood yet :) I know you may be done, but you are just so good at being a mom and making babies, I think you should keep going...but that's just me. What DID the husband say about you needing to hold a BABY baby? I'm intrigued...
ReplyDeleteoh I love this photo... her skin against yours and her sweet little eye lids... I hope I'll be wearing my daughter for many more months!
ReplyDeletebeautiful photo! i wore my baby today too, he is 21 months old.
ReplyDeleteLove this. Babywearing my 14 month old in hot sweaty Florida (Disney) today and both of us enjoying every moment of it. Your right, there is no regretting it.
ReplyDeleteI just blogged about babywearing AND posted my new favorite picture of Ren and I...me wearing him of course! You can check it out here http://lifenjkway.blogspot.com/2010/09/peace-in-chaos.html
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of your sweet Ivy!
I keep wondering if I'm going to pop over here one day and see a positive pregnancy test. ;)
ReplyDeleteThat is *such* a sweet photo.

"Psst. Wear your baby today while you still can. I've never met anyone that regretted it." Amen!
ReplyDeleteYou made cry and smile all at the same time today.
ReplyDeleteI love the sweetness of all your wearing pics.
ReplyDeleteI have an apple munching picture and a few others from our apple picking day but all of them lack the sweetness that is a sleeping Ivy!
Elizabeth hardly ever wants to ride in the sling anymore (although I haven't tried a mei tai; maybe I should). Mostly she wants to be down on the ground, pushing her stroller. Preferably without Mommy holding onto it.
ReplyDeleteIf we didn't bring a stroller (her own or her doll's stroller), she'll settle for walking on her own two feet but would rather not hold my hand. Shopping has become much more tiring since we have to be constantly paying attention!
Hey Steph, I blogged my pic here: http://dreawood.com/2010/09/whats-not-to-love/

ReplyDeleteThere's a picture I took.
