This project, not ready for reveal just yet.
I'm knitting again. It's such a stormy relationship, me and my needles and my yarn. It's either an obsession or becomes something I almost despise. So the trick is to finish the project I'm currently working on while I'm still obsessed.

I still have aspirations of learning to knit. Although the ONE lesson I've had ended with me more frustrated than excited, and I ended up finding the VERY scarf I wanted to make in the VERY yarn I had purchased with which to make it, at a resale shop for $5. God loves me so much!
ReplyDeleteI am always knitting something. It's my drug of choice, when it comes to keeping me sane. No matter what kind of day I've had, if I'm able to knit for at least 15 minutes at the end of the day, then I'm all set to get up in the morning again.
ReplyDeleteThose colors are beautiful and vibrant :)
ReplyDeleteI'm dying to learn how to crochet. Knitting...my mom is all over it, and tried to teach me, but I just can't get into it. Love everything hand knit though :) Can't wait to see what your project is!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck, I am no good at knitting.
ReplyDeletenow you got me curious on what is the "project" I do love the colors :-)
ReplyDeleteBest of luck!
Renee
I think that goes with anything hand-crafted...for me, at least! I can't wait to see what your project looks like finished! Cute!
ReplyDeleteI have the excat same relationship with my needles!
ReplyDeletepretty colors...can't wait to see what it is!!!
ReplyDeleteThe green and blue on the bottom? Divine. I love that color pairing.
ReplyDeleteLoving the colors you chose. Can't wait to see the finished product. I tried to teach myself how to knit on our way down to Florida this year, but really got frustrated. I suppose I'll stick to sewing and let the professionals do the knitting. Good luck with your projects!!
ReplyDeleteFunny....I have the EXACT same relationship with my needles & yarn! I either LOVE it and cannot stop or I LOATHE it. I'm finding myself in the latter right now.
ReplyDeleteI agree, the colors are beautiful! I have been so inspired to learn how to knit..now to find the time! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors.
ReplyDeleteI'm a knitting failure.
I am in awe of people who can knit and crochet. I've wanted to learn to crochet forever. I just think it is such a talent. Can't wait to see the finished project.
ReplyDeletei can't WAIT to see what that is!!! the colors are fantastic!
ReplyDeletetotally understand that relationship. I miss knitting but I just don't have a clue what I want to knit and yarn is so darn expensive, altho I do spin and should really do more of that as well.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you are making.
That is one pretty pile of knits. And, I know what you mean. I go through cycles of knitting.
ReplyDeleteAmen to that :)
ReplyDeleteI love knitting but I'm not very good at it - I am such an improviser and corner-cutter for the sake of efficiency that something so exacting makes me a little crazy! Knit-purl- whatever - let's just get it DONE already. I don't know what you're making but I can tell I'm going to love it!
ReplyDeleteLove love the colors, so vibrant!!
ReplyDeletePhotos like this make me really wish I could knit. I love it and I don't even know what it is!! :)
ReplyDeleteI love knitting but I don't do it enough! I am embarrased to admit that I have yet to finish my son's baby blanket! He is one! YIKES that's pretty bad. OK, I'm off to do some rows!!!!
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to learn to knit! I don't know what you are making, but it is already cute!
ReplyDeleteME. TOO. I'm currently obsessed. (Making something for somebody-who-shall-not-be-named-lest-she-see-this.) But it never fails... I get the bulk of the project completed and then I fizzle. Burned out. Ready to toss both needles and yarn across the room.
ReplyDeleteSo I'm knitting like crazy these days, because there are an awful lot of babies being born this winter and I need to stay busy while the obsession continues.
Is this mystery project pictured? Because I'm *loving* those vibrant colors.
ReplyDeleteSo am I! :) And, I know what you're knitting!!! I have that book and love it. Can't wait to see how it turns out :)
ReplyDeleteI am working on baby blankets and hats this summer. I go through spurts of reading and then knitting. I wish I liked audio books so I could do both at the same time :)
ReplyDeletePS- LOVE the colors. What is it??
