of climbing the top bunk/counter top/tall dresser
and jumping down from the top bunk/counter top/tall dresser
She'll go down the highest slide, eat and drink anything (and I mean ANYTHING), play with bugs, chase bees, skateboard, try to ride her brother's bike...
But she runs to me Mommy, hold you! when the loud garbage trucks come and the train horn sounds.

SO CUTE!
ReplyDeleteShe is more precious every day...

Just a reminder that no matter how brave and fearless they may be, Mom is always their first course of action when something finally breaks through their superpowers barrier!
ReplyDeleteOur two are quite alike! I love the "Hold you!" Sweet, sweet stuff!
ReplyDeleteOh, this is SO much like my Isaac (who is also 21 months old!). He is fearless at the playground, eats everything I put in front of him. But the sounds of airplanes and trains are of great concern to him! :) And he says that same thing, "Mommy, hold you!"
ReplyDeleteOh what a little sweet heart! I know those big truck can be scary!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove those pictures, they have a sweet romantic fell to them , I love it!
George loves the garbage truck, for some reason. It's the vaccuum he's terrified of!
ReplyDeleteSo, so precious!! I just love her wispy curls as they grow... *sigh*
ReplyDeleteOh, little girlfriend.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I find it strange how things that make loud noises can be so frightening to small children and so insignificant to us.
ReplyDeleteLike the planes passing overhead a pasture panicking cows until they learn to tune it out.
I love hearing "hold you." (My little one is just two weeks younger than Ivy - they are growing together.)
ReplyDeleteMY older daughter used to always say "hold you" instead of hold me. It was so cute, I was sad when she stopped.
ReplyDeletephotos = amazing = LOVE.
ReplyDeletedid you make the blanket?
ivy and the pea are like twins separated at birth sometimes.
p.s. your blog always speaks to me you are the best i just don't often find time to be good about leaving comments.
so, so sweet. the light in those pictures is amazing and really captures the innocence described by your words.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous girl! And I love the mommy, hold you. We're still working on those darn pronouns with Sylas. :)
ReplyDeleteBri
Such sweet pictures, love the soft light, and the soft curls :)
ReplyDeleteSo Sweet!!!
ReplyDeleteLove this.
ReplyDeleteand you.
xo
I love these pictures so much. She is radiating sweetness.
ReplyDeleteI can always picture the scene so well when you describe things. You have a gift for storytelling. And even if it isn't a happy story some days, it is always vivid and always real.
Fear of the unknown perhaps. Sweet girl...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful lighting in those photos. Wonderfully soft and girly
ReplyDeleteTroy is afraid of the "Hobsters" (lobsters) at the grocery store.
ReplyDeleteAnd I hope Troy says "Hold You" for the rest of his life. Ivy too.
Love it! All 3 of mine aren't fans of loud noisy things.
ReplyDeleteAnd I very much miss hearing "I wanna a hold you!" now all I get is a rude "pick me up, carry me downstairs!" that I know one day I will miss too.
Ha ha!!! She and my older daughter would get along great. :)
ReplyDeleteEmma is the same way. She's get in your face tough...unless there's thunder. : )
ReplyDeleteJessica (26 months) does the same...no fear. She uses the handles on our kitchen drawers like a ladder and scales the cabinets to get on the counter.
ReplyDeleteShe also runs to me and say "Mommy hold you" or "I missed you too much, mommy"
She sounds so much like my L! They always come back to mommy to be held and comforted. Sweet Sweet Sweet.
ReplyDeletePK is fearless as well. Except when it comes to the wind. No, you heard me right. She is terrified, gets that crazy look in her eyes, pee your pants scared of the wind. I'm praying that it's a phase. A very short phase.
ReplyDeletearen't those the best words ever? sweet post and photo!
ReplyDeleteI love her spirit! It really shines through your writing. The world is her for the taking. And Lord knows the world could definitely use a lot of her! :)
ReplyDeleteThese photos are stunning. She is perfection, especially with those sweet curls.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos and precious thoughts.
ReplyDeleteMy Hayden is the same way...and I love it!!
ReplyDeleteaw, my kids say "carry you"
ReplyDeleteso sweet :-)
