For me.

A few weeks ago I was shopping and found this canvas, and it took my breath away.

It didn't just speak to me, but it was me. For me.

So I didn't even think about it really, I picked it up and bought it quickly. And when the lady asked if it was a gift, should she wrap it? I said yes. It was a gift. For me.

If you only knew. Sometimes I want you to, want someone to.

I think I'd like to take an art class. I'm going to look into it.

  16. Kelly Rae's book got me started thinking...about what I wasn't doing with my life. Kelly Rae's e-course (that I'm doing now) has changed my life! She's inspiring, encouraging, sharing and REAL! You are very lucky to have gifted yourself with this wonderful piece. Enjoy it and let it speak to the authentic you.

  18. There is so much about this post :) joni mitchell is always somewhere in my subconscious! And than painting, gorgeous. I recently saw a bracelet that inspired those "made for me" feelings. It said on it "and she lived the life she loved" ... its ordered and on its way :) love those moments, the ones that evoke eveything creative and beautiful in us.

    our stories, our whole stories, are almost impossible to tell, aren't they? it is unbelievable to me sometimes that no one....not one person....knows my whole story except me. maybe it is this way for everyone?

  26. I just took a 3-hour painting class with "Painting with a Twist." I had never painted on canvas before. The teacher guides you through the painting step by step. Everyone paints the same thing. It was a blast! I'm proud of my piece! Painting with a Twist is a franchise. Maybe there is one in your area.

    Also, you should definitely take an art class. I took an oil painting class several years ago (pre-Laurel) and it was WONDERFUL. The color mixing part alone made me so, so happy.

    And now it's fun to have pieces of art that I painted hanging in our house.
