So sweet. My 14mth old boy likes to kick the covers off too :) I reach over in the middle of the night and feel his legs to see if he's warm or freezing ;)
So so so sweet. This is why I heart co-sleeping so much. We are still going strong with co-sleeping even though the girls are 5 and 7. I get lots of bad remarks from peeps but it is what works for us and I just can't let them be alone in their bedroom yet. I just need them with me!
I think this is what hurt the most when I had to spend 7 days in hospital last week and I couldn't sleep at night because I am so use to my 5 year old playing with my hair to go to sleep and having her hand on my hand. I missed that bad!
Cosleeping as I read this! Well, co-napping. Okay, actually, only Evie is sleeping. Isaac's folding laundry at the foot of the bed and I'm ignoring the fact that I need to get the laundry put away.
Ian won't co-sleep, if I get him to sleep with us in the middle of the sleeping he ask for his bed. He prefers to sleep alone, I think I have a teenager instead of a toddler he loves sleep. He knows though when I need him with me like the night before mothers day and the night we lost the baby he stayed all night never asked for his bed and was petting me in his sleep.
Awh...almost brought me to tears. It made me have a flashback of my baby girl under her bankie with the swiss cheese holes. Ivy looks so big..so sweet!
Yes, very, very cute and sweet. I'm so glad your hubby took this pic. :) And that you posted it. I was just saying to a friend that I'm so not cut out for co-sleeping after having my 2.5 yr old in our bed a couple nights ago for about 45 mins. Just.can't.do.it.
I just have to get my cuddles in during the daytime. :)
SO, CUTE! I heart co-sleeping too! And, I only WISH my hubby would take pics of me like this! I want to remember our co-sleeping days when they are in college and! It is THE best :)
So, so sweet! Paige kicks off the covers as well, so by the morning it looks like either my husband or myself has taken them all from her - but it's so not the case!
This is my second time co-sleeping with my child, but with my first we transitioned her to a crib at 5 months. I also supplemented with formula at night. With my son (who is 3 months old) I'm exclusively breastfeeding and he doesn't sleep as long as my daughter did in one stretch at night. I'm thinking that I will be co-sleeping with him a lot longer than I did with my daughter. What I'm wondering is, how do you make naps work, do you nap with your daughter? Also, do you go to bed at the same time as she does every night? While I love co-sleeping, I'm wondering how to get time with my husband if I'm in bed at 8 pm.
I forgot to mention that my son naps on me in my Maya ring sling. I just don't think he'll be able to do that indefinitely...which is why I'm looking for some advice on naps & co-sleeping.
I love co-sleeping too. My little one fell asleep with her face right next to mine and her arms around my neck the other night. I would hate to miss all of that love!
And I totally believe you about not stealing the covers. My little Eleanor kicks the covers off of herself, too. I just check once in a while to make sure she's warm - and she most often is.
My son kicks off his covers as well. And co-sleeping is the best. We started when our son was 9 months old and I so wish we would have done it sooner! Nothing better than having your child right next to you.
A picture is worth a thousand words. You are very lucky that she does not hog the bed yet, my 4 yr old is the biggest bed hog -in a queen size bed she takes the whole bed up herself.
Ha, my 9 m old is a cover kicker! He gets his body heat from DH, so he's not cold, but I sleep in the middle with the covers and they sleep on either side uncovered. Boys are so funny.
very sweet indeed. and my kid refuses to keep covers of ANY kind on her - sometimes when we're sleeping together i feel guilty for having all the blankets, but she won't tolerate them anyway! (-:
We don't co-sleep, but I wish I had a nice safe setup so I could at least steal a nap with the baby. Cause that? Is so cute.
ReplyDeleteAnd my four-year-old is already VERY ANNOYING to share even a big bed with so I missed my cuddle window.
So sweet. My 14mth old boy likes to kick the covers off too :) I reach over in the middle of the night and feel his legs to see if he's warm or freezing ;)

I love that. Libby is a cover kicker offer too. She hates covers!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could take a nap with Libby...she would sleep so much better if we could.

ReplyDeletethat is one of the sweetest pictures!
ReplyDeleteAwe! We love it too -- even when it means the boy has to find a new place to sleep (often the single bed we have set up for Gretchen in our bedroom).
ReplyDeleteLast night G woke up, nursed and did this new thing were she got up and lay down again right across my back! So cute!
This is too sweet. I heart all the photos that Jer took of the girls and I sleeping together.
ReplyDeleteI heart co-sleeping too! What a lovely picture. I love Ivy's adorable thighs.
ReplyDeleteMine kicks off the covers, too.

ReplyDeletecheers!
Sweet indeed. :)
ReplyDeleteYour notes made me smile because my 1-year-old hates having the covers on her, regardless of temperature.
