Sarah & I had plans to do something on the beautiful that was yester day and so we decided to go to the park. And why not just go all out and go to The Park.
Sharing super expensive Starbucks Artisan bread that would later be fed to pigeons, seagulls, a finicky squirrel,
and eventually left behind on a restaurant table causing the End Of The World to Gray for about ten seconds.

It's awesome when we can drive into the city and enjoy the day and then be home in time for the bigkids to get off the bus, make dinner (and even bake cookies) and finish laundry and you know, be Mom.

ReplyDeleteWhat an incredible day! One of my goals in my little 57 things in 52 weeks is to visit the City of Chicago... and this just makes me smile. The kids, the day, the fun, the art of it all! Thanks for sharing. (Also, my Dad was born in Chicago and that has such a magical draw for me... !)

ReplyDeleteOh, I was just looking at a friend's photos from a few years ago when her eldest son was still an infant, and she was standing in front of the bean wearing him in this most gorgeous sling. I just love how their image was reflected in it. Now, I see your pics and have this sudden urge to load my family up on a plane or in a car just to make it to Chicago and shoot some pics there. Oh, and eat because you can't go to Chicago and not eat yourself silly. Thanks for sharing them!
