OH man! A video monitor is something we ALWAYS wanted, especially as cosleepers, but could never afford to get! We were actually recently debating getting one (even though our Bug is two), thinking that we could always use it for number two one day.... :)

ReplyDeleteWhat Graco product don't I love? When my 2 year old was tiny, we used the pack and play as a bassinet and a changing table downstairs. I plan to use it again for our little girl due in May.

I wanted one when the girls were little, but as they've gotten a little older it is even more useful . . . you know how it is . . . when the kids are playing in their rooms and are being just a little too quiet. :o) This would allow me to see them when I can't hear them. ReplyDeleteHow fun! Our kids sleep upstairs, but frequently I'm working downstairs during naptime. I've jogged up the stairs several times only to find that one or the other kiddo "almost" woke up, then resettled... and I've dropped everything and raced upstairs for naught. So I've been daydreaming occasionally of a video monitor. But that cushy swing is cute too!

ReplyDeleteWe have a Graco Pack-in-Play that has been invaluable! We don't often use it as a "play yard", but it was our girl's only bed for several months (with the infant height-raising attachment) and has been a fabulous portable crib in later months, letting us go camping hand stay over at friend's houses! Totally recommended.
ReplyDeleteI've never had a video monitor because my babies typically sleep in my room until they are well past 6 months old. I've been considering buying one lately for my 2 year old though because he has been getting out of bed at night (since we took him out of his crib). This could be very helpful. Oh, and the swing would be lovely. We have an older model swing (left over from my first 3 boys), but I'd love a new (CLEAN) one for my baby.

ReplyDeleteI am being gifted a swing to try out, since none of the babies in my whole family have ever "taken to" a swing. There is a very, very gently used one being passed around the family!
My husband and I didn't think that we needed a video monitor when we had our daughter. And, yes, we have survived just fine without one. However, when I recently visited a friend who DOES have one, I realized how great it would be. No accidently waking the baby when the door creaks when you go to check on her!!

ReplyDeleteAs for my favorite Graco item, I think they range from age groups. But hands down we loved and used our pack-n-play with the changing table all the time. Especially during the early days!!!
The video monitor is great. I didn't have one-I never let her get that far away. However, I could see lots of uses for it when we have Baby #2 someday!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Graco item is the MyRide65 carseat but I wouldn't want to win that seeing as I just bought it yesterday! I do love their strollers though. I don't think we will end up using a stroller all the time so I don't want to spend much but I know that we will want it occasionally and they seem to have nice ones at reasonable prices.

I love the idea of a color video and sound monitor! It would be great for those times where I want to peek at the baby but really don't want to risk waking her up!!

ReplyDeleteOh I just LOVE the giraffe swing. Baby #4 is arriving in 10 weeks and we would definitely put that swing to good use.
