Four in a row.

four in a row
Will there be a fifth? Or maybe even a sixth?

In my head, and on paper, we are content. In my heart, and my whole body, I would have ten more babies. Well, ok, maybe like two.

[For the potluck I finally decided to make two big Italian pasta salads & Rice Krispie treats. Someone made this awesome baked bean casserole thingy that was sooo good. I will get the recipe!

  1. Oh that is so precious!

And I know the feeling, on paper and financially we are likely for only two. In my heart? At least four. Sometimes that's tough.

  4. We are content, but my heart wants one more SO bad!
I love that Ivy has a name tag on. My girls wore their church name tags almost all afternoon.

  6. Any left over rice krispie treats!? ;) Mmmmmm....

I know the feeling to always want and have room for more children in your heart. Even after rough days for me, like today!

  7. Thanks for the invite and I'm so glad I went. Your pasta salad was so good along with everything else. It makes me happy to see your little family loving their church. This picture is just too cute for words.

  8. I always wanted three. And whenever we are asked we say we are done. We are happy. But I feel the pull for one more. I feel the desire to do it again.

  10. I'm already sorting out all of this, and I'm pregnant. I wish we had a bigger house. I love Ivy's name tag. She's like a little big-person.

  15. I so admire your ambition towards motherhood. I've commented before about my fear of making the leap to being a mom, and I have so much admiration towards those who not only do it well, but enjoy it and want it more each time they have a baby.

My selfish bone is a little to polished for motherhood, I think.

  17. This picture is so precious.

I'd agree with you. We have four. In my heart? I'd have or adopt 10 more.

    Still open ended for us...

  18. This hits really close to home as this is something we talk about and think about and pray about on a near daily basis. My heart and home have room for more yet on paper I wonder sometimes if we do. I have been working on a blog post about similar feelings. Thanks for sharing where you're at kind of!

  19. That is such a beautiful picture! I love the "from the back" angle, all of them together - one of my fav shots!

And OH the baby fever! I've got it BAD. I think at least one more until we are content. But I secretly want twelve more!

  20. *hugs* for the Baby Fever. I got it as well if that helps - and no chance of fulfilling it lol!

    Gorgeous children though.

  23. I know exactly what you mean. My heart tells me to keep going and have a few more children. My head tells me that I am tired and maxed out as it is, not to mention worries about over-population, planet strain from over-use of resources (Americans, my family, is especially guilty of this) yet thinking that Gracie is my last baby makes my head pound and my heart ache. It is such a hard final decision to make.

    Love the photograph, very sweet!

  25. My head and body says no more, but my heart will always say we're not done.

I was getting more blood work and testing done today at the lab and two little newborns came in for their billirubin tests and it made my heart and uterus ache for more.

  26. I have baby fever, but I know that NOW is not the time. I am still tired and exhausted from my last baby. (he's 22 mos) I think my body needs a rest. BUT, I know that when the time is right...I will have another baby join our family of 4.

  27. I would like one more, just one more on purpose.

We are thinking in our hearts how it will be.

    (Maybe adoption. Maybe not.)

And that pic rocks my socks.

  28. love it! However many it is, it is! I have to tell you, Chef and all I can't make rice krispie treats!! Not even to save my life! I have to buy them.
    Sounds like a great pot-luck!

  29. I'd have ten too! Or maybe 6 :) Now to convince the hubs.

  30. I know this feeling all too well. And you're actually making me think -- if I did get my fourth baby, would I then still keep wanting more and more? Ugh. Maybe my hubby's right afterall.

  31. Such a great pic!

And such a dilemma...I can definitely see you having one (or two) more kids. You are a great mom.

  32. in my church we often say that there are spirits just waiting for you, and only you know if there are some waiting up there for you. and if you don't give in to that desire they will still come to earth choosing a different family. I like thinking about that. it makes me feel like I could have a hundred kids.
