Coming soon...

eden in the sling, & Beth
Here's a sneak peek at shower pics from yesterday. (more to come!)

Winners of all the Nest Feathering giveaways will be announced & linked later today, probably while I'm watching the Academy Awards, fyi.

I love these people.
love, sarah, beth, erin, me, donya & eden

Also!

At Blissdom, in my Writers Workshop with Hallmark writers Sarah & Molly, & Casey from Moosh In Indy, attendees were given a writing assignment. I'd love if you'd like to play along, too. Tomorrow Casey & I will host a link up to share your post if you'd like.

Molly gave the assignment:
"couches":

"In her amazing book, What It Is! writer/artist Lynda Barry shares (among other flashes of genius!) a simple exercise she learned from her college professor and mentor Marilyn Frasca. It's one I use all the time to get my mind in gear.

Here's how it goes: With pen and paper, make a list of ten couches you've known in your lifetime. (This also works with other words, but couches are my favorite because they are central to many moments in your memory.)

When you've made your list, take a deep relaxing breath and find the couch that has the most powerful emotional charge for you. Then begin writing about it in the present tense. Describe the scene.

What's behind you?
In front of you? To your left? To your right? Above you? Below you?

Who
is there? What are they saying? How does the scene unfold?

Keep writing for three minutes until you've reached the end of the vignette. Keep the pen moving. Three minutes will seem like a long time. But don't stop. If you run out of words, doodle a little till they come again.

Don't edit! Keep the memory and emotion there in all its raw glory!"

Sound fun? Get your post ready for the link-up tomorrow!

  6. Ooh sounds fun, but scary too... Very exposed. If I can find 15 mins with no distractions I'll do it. ;-)

  9. Steph, do you mean couches as in "let's sit on the couch and watch TV?" Because if so, my mind is blown and I am SO in. My writing exercises have become so stale and repetitive! I'm really excited to participate!

  18. I just got a new pair of Nike Air Force One shoes, and I could not be happier. My custom Nike Air Force Ones are the coolest thing that I have seen in years. These ones are a special St. Patrick's day addition, done in bright green and white. Very retro. I am tempted to save my Nike Air Force One shoes for playing basketball, but the thing is, I just can not keep them off of my feet. Everyone who sees me gives me a look of envy when they check out my Nike Air Force One shoes, because they know that I've got the cash flow to buy the nice threads.

  20. This shoe is the most comfortable nike shoe I have ever purchased. I primarily wear my nike shoes for comfort and fashion. The first time I wore it and every time thereafter it felt like I was walking on cloud nike shoe. I sincerely hope this model nike shoe will be around for a long time to come in the event I need to replace it with a new one. To kind of ensure that I'll be in style and comfort for a good while I've purchased two additional pairs. Bravo nike shoe!

  22. We all love a great pair of jordan shoes. Even men can appreciate a quality pair of sneakers. Whether you are looking for basketball, jogging, or just everyday comfort, jordan shoes are a must. These are the things we walk, run and climb with everyday

  23. Great Nike AirForce 1. Shipped quickly. Quality is great. I have trouble with plantar fasciitis and the Nike AirForce 1 is nicely padded to keep me from aggravating my condition. Overall, I"m very happy with purchase. Color options were good too. Will defn continue to order on-line.Thanks Nike AirForce 1!

  24. I recently purchased these nike shoes for my girlfriend as a christmas gift. She totally loved them far more than all her other air maxes she owns. I couldn't agree with hermore. They are by far the best women's nike shoes I have seen. Great quality, great design, and feather weight. I was completely satisfied with my purchase and would totally recommend these nike shoes to anyone who is considering purchsing them.
