Hubby is on vacation this week and so that means I am able to get more of my job done. It's been good and I'll throw some links at you below if you want to read what I've been working on.
(I write other places, you know, for pay! Click, read, & comment and I'll love you forever.)
It seems Ivy's decided to make the most of having two parents home this week and she's been double-y as much, um, fun.
For example, I just removed her from the kitchen island counter. Her FEET were in Gray's soup.
Anyhoo.
I went to the grocery story all by mysell-eeee-elf this morning. And then I stopped by Marshall's on the way home (hubby doesn't know this part.) (But I had to treat myself.) (I was ALONE!) (And it's on the way home from the grocery store.)
(Kinda.)
I'll admit it. I'm obsessed with leggings. And dresses that are really tops that look like dresses. Worn over leggings. I love this awesome fashion trend.
Except when those not-a-dress-tops prompt someone to ask "which number does that make this?" pointing YOU KNOW WHERE.
(True story.)
I have something on my mind all 'a brewing about how many kids I have and am going to have. It's not ready to be written just yet. But it's steeping all right.
How about those links?!

Oh gosh. I don't like those questions, even though I was once stupid enough to be the questioner. *bats head against wall*
ReplyDeleteI love the floaty top over slim-fitting pants/leggings trend since it's super-comfy and effectively hides my (decidedly non-pregnant) belly... but sometimes I do wonder if perhaps people are doing a double-take when they see me go by. :-)
ReplyDeleteP.S. That may have been the longest sentence ever!
How many you're GOING to have?! Girl you slay me. LOL
ReplyDeleteIvy is so, so beautiful. I am sure this is true even when her feet are in soup. :)
ReplyDeleteYAY for getting a little break from the routine!! Ken works from home most of the time, and it is SO HARD to not pass Emma off to him on a daily basis. *giggle*
ReplyDeleteI, also, love the leggings/top look, but I've yet to find some cute leggings. I must not be shopping in the right places!
Goodness. Her feet in his soup!
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of soup was it?
I can't wait to read the post you just teased. Can't. Wait.
Enjoy your week of togetherness!
I hope you have lots more - you make beautiful babies :)
ReplyDeleteGoing to the store alone is a special treat. I actually got to take my baby to the store with me, just us two, the other day and it was magical!
ReplyDeleteEveryone stopped and awwwed all over him and I got to really soak in all of who he is becoming. It was so lovely!
Ivy is to die for, my friend. Those eyes are striking!
Nell
Yeah, I avoid the babydoll look, as well as most tunics, since I don't need to be starting any rumors about my family. My self-esteem just can't take it.
ReplyDeleteWell if that wasn't a tease I don't know what is. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd ohmygoodness I cannot believe someone said that to you - I hope you used the opportunity to make them uber uncomfortable by saying something like, "Oh I'm not pregnant. I do, however, have a twelve pound tumor. I'm waiting on tests to come back to see if it's malignant."
I LOVE this fashion trend too. I stopped by TJ Maxx today looking for more long tops. I went with my 15-month-old, so it was NOT relaxing, but still fun.
ReplyDeleteabsolutely my favorite things to wear! {despite getting those questions sometimes, too.}
ReplyDeleteoh, ivy. beautiful girl. {my singing sean kingston again, now. he won't leave me today.}
I got the whole "when are you due" question not too long ago myself.
ReplyDeleteYeah...that's always awkward for both parties.
Also, I could just melt from the beauty that is Ivy.
ReplyDeleteJust sayin.
:-)
Those outfits always look so nice, and seem like they'd be so comfy... I might have to try it, finally :)
ReplyDeleteTHOSE EYES!
ReplyDeleteivy has beautiful eyes. too funny about her feet in gray's soup...sounds like something one of my kids would do.
ReplyDeleteso nice to go to the store alone...so very nice!
looking forward to the future post you alluded to.
look at those beautiful blue eyes, she is so gorgeous! what a coincidence that your mind is going where mine is these days! i've been praying about the number of kids (one more and make five - even though i don't like odd numbers!) we will have and wondering "are we done yet?" curious to see where your heart and mind are taking you!
ReplyDeleteLove the eyes on the first pic... ugh, gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLOL at the store thing. What a treat those times are, I love taking my ipod, grooving down the aisles and soaking up some me... no matter where it is. In fact I ran into another mom at the store last week w/ my 15m old and she was alone talking to the baby. Said her 3 were in school and preschool. I congratulated her on being at the store and grinned, she laughed and said 'at which, the store or alone part?', I told her... both. And we both laughed.
Isn't it funny how two moms can totally get each other at times like that?
Enjoy your time... I know you kids will!
Michelle
Her eyes are simply the sky.
ReplyDeleteWas she trying to keep her feet warm? ;-)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're busy as ever woman!
Lovely pic! And I'm totally digging seeing the other places you write -- I have my 'other places' in my side bar, but I've been inspired by you to sometimes add links to my posts to send my readers out and about :)
ReplyDeleteMan that girl is cute!!! And those beads beautiful!!! Have a great day!!! - Who knew there was a big market for toe soup!!!

ReplyDeleteAnd I just bought my first pair of leggings...I'm a huge fan of that style. Just wish I had the time to find good deals on that stuff--because I know they are out there!
She is adorable! And I LOVE that top :)

ReplyDeleteWhat amazing piercing blue eyes Ivy has! She is gorgeous but I can't get over how fast they grow! She is looking less like a baby all the time!
ReplyDeleteHehe I know feet in soup probably isn't the most fun, but kinda cute ;) Her eyes are SO BLUE! What a great picture!
ReplyDeletethat necklace is soo pretty. Glad you got a little me time this week-you deserve it!

ReplyDeleteIvy's eyes are the blueist I've ever seen. I do love the look of leggings under a long top or dress. You can pull that off.
ReplyDeleteok...so, do I sense a little hint in this post at the end? Going to have?

ReplyDeleteIvy is soooo sos ososososo beautiful!!!
My arms to too fat for anything that's less than fitted. Seriously, it adds about 20lbs to me!
ReplyDeleteI need me some leggings and long shirts, too. And some ballet flats. I dig comfy yet stylish. We're going to Lake Charles this weekend. Here's to hoping I find something :)
ReplyDeleteOh, Ivy girl. You are CUTE!
ReplyDeleteYeah, the "are you pregnant" questions. No fun at all. Sorry that happened to you gorgeous mama.
Bri
I was walking around campus today and I couldn't believe how many pairs of leggings I saw walking around, tucked into cute boots!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on a week to get some writing done and to grab some solo time. We all need it here and there. :)

ReplyDeleteYou'll need your description updated at NWI Parent to include sweet Ivy in your parenting "resume." :) She's such a beauty.
ReplyDeleteHooray for daddies, sleeping in (at least a little) and definitely leggings!
I can't wait to read your post about # of kids. It's a topic that I've been thinking about a lot lately...
ReplyDeletestephanie@metropolitanmama.net
