Through the silver fog today on a drive, Gray asked what kind of animals were out in the field ahead. Those are big brown cows, I tell him.
"OH! I thought that's where my chocolate rice milk comes from."
Do you ever have those moments as a Mom where you think Oh, my GOD. This is my child. I am so thankful.

Absolutely! And it just gets better and better! True gifts for us to enjoy every day. Savor those moments.
ReplyDeletePretty much every day at some point. It's one of the amazing gifts of motherhood. On of many...
ReplyDeleteGreat post of the joys of motherhood. Blessings Catherine
ReplyDeleteOh Gray, I wish I had your funky cool moves!
ReplyDeleteEveryday! I feel like this everyday!
ReplyDeleteOh my, he is so precious! I love the way their words can just melt us. I suppose he actually needs to where his hood. My boys insist on it no matter if it is necessary or not. I love it.
ReplyDeleteThis morning Bean said, "I wish it would snow" I--feeling sarcastic and not quite awake--said,
ReplyDelete"Well, I wish I had a pony."
Mac said, "WELL, I wish I had a magic pony that MADE snow."
I think the four year old wins.
Oh that's funny. Chocolate rice milk cows, LOL. And now I'm thinking of drinking some--the rice milk not the cows :)
ReplyDeleteAdorable! Gray is growing up way too fast.
ReplyDeleteSo fun! And yes, I have those moments often - I just stop and stare at my Joy, and think "God, why me? Why am I the one so blessed with this child?"
ReplyDeleteAnd then I give her many kisses.
YES! I feel this all the time. Who am I to be so blessed?
ReplyDeleteAnd Grey? He's delightful.
Bri
When my sister and I were little, my dad always told us that chocolate milk came from brown and white cows. We believed him for a very long time :) It's so much fun to be a kid :)
ReplyDeleteGray is getting SO big!! Time needs to slow down just a smidge....
He sounds wonderful Steph!
ReplyDeleteSo funny! I definitely had one of those moments this morning... love it.
ReplyDeleteYes. I most certainly do. I've got a few little *Grays* of my own.
ReplyDeleteI love those moments! Precious! Just simply precious!
ReplyDeleteAhh... so cute. Moments like that are so very precious. I wish I could bottle up all the cute things that come out of my children's mouths. Seriously, I melt someetimes with the things they say!
ReplyDeleteSo cute.
Definitely!
ReplyDeleteMy little Sugar is saying so many cute things right now... I'm trying to write them all down so I'll have them forever - last night she said "I can't go night-night, night-night is yucky!" I laughed so hard she got to stay up for another half hour :)
I love moments like this!! My son says the craziest and most wonderful things. I love getting a little peek in this world.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love it, I love it!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the things I think God does so that we won't lose our minds during the crazies. :)
What a sweetheart! We've been dealing with RSV at our house, but it has caused me to slow down and have many more of those type of moments. I am blessed.
ReplyDeleteClassic! That's adorable!
ReplyDeleteYep.. Wog with his incredible knack for slapstick silliness and Bug with her almost intolerable high-maintenance-ness... both SO mine!
ReplyDeleteBTW, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the title! You're so clever!
I have that same thought every day!!!
ReplyDeleteOh yes. And OH HOW I LOVE THOSE PHOTOS.
ReplyDeleteyes and I love those moments.
ReplyDeletexo
Hahaha.... haha. ha!
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, yes. I love those moments!
ReplyDeleteHa! I love this! I am totally planning on telling my kids that chocolate milk comes from brown cows!
ReplyDeletehaving one now looking at my 12 hour old nursing baby...oh man now
ReplyDeletei am tearing up! Gray is great!
Those are cute little things that we love to cherish. Our kid's innocence.
ReplyDeleteEvery single day! My children are my rays of sunshine, so much like me in some ways that I burst with pride but so much their own little people that I am amazed that I had anything at all to do with their creation. Each day is a wonderful adventure and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
ReplyDeleteHow precious. When my kids say something like that I just want to put it in a box and remember it forever. I'm afraid I won't remember everything but I love it.
