Funny Girl

scarf was in the way
(my scarf got in the way)

(also, this is a SOOC "straight out of camera" shot, no editing, and I love it.)

I like to take pictures of my shoes.

shoes in the snow

Today I'm driving away, kind of far, and leaving Ivy with Daddy for the longest time I've ever left her. I'll be back before bedtime, and I'm going to lunch and a play with old (and forever) friends so it's really such a treat.

I'm nervous as I type this, but also equally excited... it's a strange push and pull and twist and release.

But I get to wear my new shoes!

I love those shoes! Where on earth did you get them? You are going to have a fantastic time, and Ivy will miss you tons, but think how nice it will be to see all the kids faces after they've missed you all day! I think it will be refreshing for you.

I LOVE the shoes too!!! So pretty, and makes you think spring standing in the snow. Enjoy your day out! You'll have little Ivy in your arms again before you know it! :)

Love the shoes and glad you get to have a great day with your friends. I'm just a phone call away if Jeff needs me, which he won't.

Ah, I remember that feeling with my last munchkin when I got the chance for a day off... I'm not quite there with this one (he's only 6 months)... but after the last couple of days, I'm kinda looking forward to that day coming. Just a little :)

GREAT shoes! And have a lovely time today!

Those shoes! Those would make me walk like I owned the world! I want to see the whole outfit, though. Have a wonderful time. Old friends rejuvenate the soul in a very unique but reliable way, don't they? An old friend is "Always" come to life.

Those shoes are so cute. I Ivy will have a great time with Daddy while you are gone. You will see. Personally I wish I had an opportunity to go out like that with old friends.

Lately I've been doing my best to take little outings -- a couple hours here and there -- on my own, without baby G. It's a strange sensation, like a missing limb, but I have to admit -- it's great to have a little alone time.
Bit by bit!

I hope you have a fantastic time with your friends! The first time leaving your baby for a long period of time is hard and you'll probably think about her all day, but she'll be fine! I can say these words, but I have a son the same age as Ivy and I still haven't left him for longer than 3 or 4 hours, so I'm not really one to give advice! I haven't even left my 2-yo for longer than that! LOL

And those are the cutest shoes ever!!

My 4-year-old daughter asked me about 15 questions about your shoes - she clearly appreciates the photo!

Have a great time. I'm sure that Ivy will be all right, although I understand the nerves at leaving your baby.

1. We have very similar taste in shoes. (And clothing in general, actually). Very cute!

2. Yesterday was the longest I have left Ax, about 8 hours, for my new job. It's just halftime for now, but it is odd being without your baby. I know this very well. (You'll be so glad to have her along at Blissdom.)
