Cupcake

I'm thinking about taking Ivy for her first haircut tomorrow.

Also, I'm probably overly excited for Cupcake '10 this weekend. Confession: While I love cupcakes, I am really not a cake fan, and my very favorite dessert of all is actually lemon bars. (Of which my Mom made a whole batch for my early birthday celebration today.) Who's in for Lemon Bar '11?

  5. I think Lemon Bar '11 sounds wonderful. And I need to cut Alice's hair too. It's soooo long in the back, but shortish on the sides and I have to clip back her bangs with an accessory at the very least or the whole effect is rather "Uncle Jessie from Full House mullet".

  6. I'm in! I'm missing Cupcake '10 and am terribly disappointed about it, so hubby already knows I'm going in '11 no matter what! And I love lemon bars, and make some darn good ones, so it's meant to be :)

  7. Oh My Goodness - I loooooooove lemon bars! My English honors society in college had them at our tea party each year; I've gone back as an alum twice and there's always a plate for me to take home.

    Honestly, I'm beginning to wonder if you might be my future self. =)

    lemon bars, key lime, and caramely pecan stuff go WAY farther than cake w/ me!!

    haircut?! i think chloe's first cut was when she was 4! =)

  11. Lemon bars are yummy...but cupcakes are a nice sweet treat. I'm a huge fan of apple crisps and strudels! Love the crunch!

    she is so stinkin' cute! I've been taking Jonah to get his haircut since he was a little over a year old. I can't imagine cutting Lily's hair, but it is already getting crazy out of control! I want her to have long hair, but it's just so dang frizzy!!

  21. oh... her first haircut??? i am a chicken and still can't bring myself to cut eleanor's hair, even though she probably needs it. it's just a step too far from baby that i'm not quite ready to take yet, to be honest!

    lemon bar '11 sounds amazing. the fact that i chose a lemon trifle sort of dessert over everything else at lunch yesterday proves that i should attend. ummm... could you do it in southern california this time, though??? just kidding.

  22. Aww, her first haircut, how sweet! :) Tara was just a bit older than Ivy, a month or so, and she got just the slightest trim. We made a big day of it, it was such fun. :)

    And I'm sooo in for Lemon Bar '11! I don't like chocolate, which limits my dessert intake. I love me some lemon bars, though. :)

    Hair cut? No way, these guys aren't big enough for that! She'll be so cute. How will you have it cut? Just a bit to clean it up? I waited until Amelia was 3 to get her hair cut...I will probably do the same with Libby.

  31. Oh how I wish I lived near enough to attend Cupcake '10...you will all have SO much fun! Cupcakes are definitely one of my MOST favorite desserts<3

    Aside from cookies, of course.
    Lemon Bars work well also.
    Anything with sugar actually:P

    I have been wondering the same thing about Pixie, haircut wise---I keep sweeping her bangs to the side but, they fall right into her baby eyes constantly:) It will pain me to no end to commit to it though...perhaps I'll let her be a shaggy one until after her second birthday?

    These days of babyhood fly by WAY TOO fast:(
