awesauce! He is so cute-I am tempted to find one of my own, but fearful that he might end up in Chicken's room never to come out again. (its were all the cute stuffed type holiday decorations go...to apparently die or something because I never see them again)

This is such a great idea....I want to do this for Jackson when he's a bit older.

Love the Elf on the Shelf! We started that this year in our house. Sydney named him "Kevin." What is your Elf's name?

Our elf, "Moby Dick", made his debut this morning, too!!!!!

I love where he's sitting. Looks like he and the easter bunny are communicating. I am so glad you found him. What does Ivy think about him?

Cracks me up! This AM my kids woke up and asked us why in the world "Mipsy" was in the same place as yesterday. Did he forget to fly to the North Pole?

My MIL sent the kids one this year... and I'm a little late, I will have to read them the story and have the little elf named and put him up somewhere today!

Love the name! Very, very, original!

My MIL gave the Elf to us the year, and the kids latched on immediately to "Fredder". My only problem is remembering to move him at night. The kids were starting to worry when he didn't fly for three nights in a row! (I told them it was because they weren't sleeping in long enough, and he was a afraid he wouldn't get back from the north pole in time). :-)

Elf on a Shelf totally freaks me out.

We might have to do that next year ;) Too cute!

(and thank you for the prayers, the skin test came back negative... now onto a food challenge next month to be positive he's outgrown it! Yay!!!)

Chazz Star! LOVE it! Who came up with that name? My cousin is very good friends with the author. My mother had my cousin get the booked signed for us by the author. Currently "Kevin" is hiding in our Christmas tree. I think that is the best hiding spot he has been in so far! I'll let you know if Sydney finds him!

Our elf showed up last year. It took me several hours to remember where I put him when I wanted to get him out Thanksgiving night. The kids have so much fun looking for him...and I love that the book tells them they can't touch him. (Although I wonder what happens if he falls or gets bumped from his perch? I worry about these things!)

It's funny because I have a post scheduled next week for the Midwest Parents blog about our elf!

Awww-loved Gray's comment!

Hey-we have a fun little thing we do with a snowman here at our house. He's actually a tiny little ornament-only an inch or two high. He moves around the house (banned from the bedrooms 'cause we'd NEVER find him again) because we all take turns "hiding" him. Upon being found, that person gets to hide him again for someone else to find and so on. My kids LOVE this! We have one more rule-he can't go behind anything-he has to be in full view without having to move anything. (You'd be surprised at how hard it is to still try and find him sometimes!) It's just a thought to incorporate one more fun tradition at your house. Have fun!
