I'm trying to choose my favorite babywearing photo to feature next week when the 2nd round Babywearing Triathlon winner is chosen (and also when I will be posting my favorite of yours that has been left in the comments on this post.)
So I might be posting some favorites each day leading up to the Triathlon winner announcement on Wednesday.
I don't wear pouches often, but that was a Mod Mum pouch in the photo above. I received it in one of my BlogHer '08 swag bags & enjoyed wearing it while Ivy was smaller.
I was cleaning yesterday and found TWO pouches that were sent to me but have never been opened or used. Doesn't make sense for them to just sit here not carrying a baby!
I thought l should give them away to two readers here.

1st is a black Hugamonkey pouch, size medium [$34.99].

2nd is a GORGEOUS Petunia Pickle Bottom Sojourn pouch, in the Dancing in Dublin pattern, size small [$72]. (I honestly have no idea who sent it to me. Otherwise I would have asked to exchange it for my size- it's too small for me!)
So, if you'd like to win one for yourself or to give as a gift, please leave a comment below letting me know which one you'd choose!
(Please note the Hugamonkey pouch is a medium and will probably fit most, but the Petunia Pickle Bottom pouch is a small and made for someone quite petite.)
I'll select two winners, one for each sling, after 11:59 pm Tuesday November 17. This contest is open to everyone (yes that means my friends in Canada and overseas!)
Also, if you'd like, please share your own favorite babywearing photo in the comments on this post.
Disclosure: Both items were sent to me and I was not asked to post about them or host a giveaway. I came up with this idea on my own (crazy- I know!), and both items will be mailed out by me personally, out of my own pocket.

I love the Petunia Picklebottom one, and I happen to be a small, yeah! I actually loved the pouches, I still use a pouch (Hotsligp) to carry around my 2 yr old (shes petite too!
ReplyDeleteI would love the hugamonkey!
ReplyDeleteOooo!!!! I have a fabulous Slinglings sling and have a ton of pics of it on my home page. Grace just loves it!
ReplyDeleteBUT, my best friend just found out that she is pregnant with her third child and she DOESN'T HAVE A SLING. She will definitely need one.
I love the Picklebottom design. It is beautiful! But it won't fit my friend (or me, for that matter). So, if I would win I would take the black one and send it to her. :)
I've been needing a black wrap - sling - pouch for awhile, so I'm putting my name in the hat for that one. Plus, I'm no where near petite! lol
ReplyDeleteNell
I could personally use the hugamonkey black one, but my very petite sister in law could use the Petunia Picklebottom one. She's 4'11" and very skinny... So either one would be a great win!!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win the hugamonkey!
ReplyDeleteI'd choose the medium one. Not for me for sure. But for my friend that just had a baby. I don't think she knows yet the wonders of baby wearing and this would be a great start.
ReplyDeleteI love pouch slings! It is all we use around here! I would love the medium black one! Very generous!
ReplyDeleteOh how I love the PPB Dancing in Dublin pattern. I was just on their site two days ago drooling over this but it is a bit out of my price range. I happen to be a small!!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win the Hugamonkey! I've always wanted to try wearing my baby!
ReplyDeleteI actually really do like carrying my 20 month old in a pouch, and he's HUGE. It's just always worked for us, and they're easy to pack and pull out when we need it. Now that I'm VERY pregnant (due next week), I have been using my Ergo more often for a back carry, but I can't wait to get out my pouches again for the little guy.
ReplyDeleteI would love either one!
ReplyDeleteI love pouches.
ReplyDeleteI need one! I have a crazy wrap thing that I have to tie and do fancy things with...it's too much work! Both of these are perfect! I'd love the Petunia Pickle Bottom One!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win the hugamonkey!!
ReplyDeleteI hate sizing pouch slings! I bought a Karma Baby water sling and measured myself and everything and it's way too big. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteSo, that said, if I win (which would ROCK! I'm due in February and love pouch slings for wee little ones!), I think the picklebottom one would be a better fit ... and it's oh-so-pretty!
Oh, I'm sure they're both too small for me...but I have a friend from church who could use the small for sure - it would be a great shower gift, along with instructions & all! :)
ReplyDeleteyay! what a kind thing to do! i'd love either - i have 2 friends of 2 different sizes neither of whom have a sling. it would be great to win this as a gift. (don't worry i have a u.s. mailing address).
ReplyDelete:-)
So I would love the petunia picklebottom but am not sure if it will fit :( but I am sure if it doesn't fit me that I have a dear friend who could use it :)
ReplyDeleteLove the Petunia Pickle Bottom Sojourn pouch! I'm pretty small so it will fit! Such a sweet thing for you to give slings away to your readers!!
ReplyDeleteI am small and the Petunia Pickle Bottom would fit me. Also, I watch kids in my home and am getting a newborn soon, and would love the pouch to wear this new baby in.
ReplyDeleteI love the pattern on the Petunia, but it would definitely be too small. While the black Hugamonkey would work for me or G (he is very excited to wear babies, cracks me up....he's becoming more crunchy than me!)
ReplyDeleteI would love to win the hugamonkey!
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting just a plain black sling for so long! But if I won it, I'd give it to a friend who is a babywearing addict as well and has yet to get a pouch sling! :)
ReplyDeletethanks!
I'd choose the black hugamonkey pouch! I've never tried a pouch and have been wanting one for quick trips and such. I love spontaneous giveaways! :)
ReplyDeleteOooh- I love pouches. My 25 lb 12 month old still fits in ours. We use it every day!
ReplyDeleteYay a giveaway! I would love a new pouch sling! I'd like to enter for the Picklebottom one. Do you think it'd fit me?
ReplyDeleteBTW- this photo of you wearing Ivy is so sweet!
ReplyDeleteOoooh I'd love the hugamonkey. Thanks for the giveaway and cute pictures of Ivy :)
ReplyDeleteI think it's great that you actually got a sling in a swag bag! That makes me happy that slings are considered swag!
ReplyDeleteCould you talk a little about how you would wear an older child (2 yrs +) - what slings/pouches/wraps you would choose and what carries work well?
I would love the Petunia Pickle Bottom Sojourn pouch it is so beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteOooh, the Hugamonkey looks gorgeous. One of my best friends is due on Tuesday with her first ( a little girl). I'd love to gift this to her - she's so looking forward to babywearing her baby too!
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE the hugamonkey one!
ReplyDeletewould LOVE to win the hugamonkey!!! :)
ReplyDeleteMy daughter loves riding in a pouch sling. Gracie would look so cute riding in the Petunia Picklebottom. Otherwise, I know lots of pregnant women right now that would love to try wearing their babies and the Hugamonkey would work great for them!
ReplyDeletehey steph! i am pregnant again (hooray after a miscarriage!) and would LOVE to try the medium size pouch (although i love the pattern of the small one better, it would not fit me - and black is more practical anyway, right? RIGHT?). a good friend of mine just had a baby, so i would definitely send it her way until my baby arrived in may. thanks so much for this awesome giveaway!
ReplyDeleteAnonymous- maybe I'll try to work on a post for that- but real quick my favorite for that size is a mei tai- LOVE the mei tai for when they are toddlers. Ring slings are great, too, but for over all comfort my fave is the mei tai!
ReplyDeleteSteph
I'd love the hugamonkey!
ReplyDeleteI'm not quite a small, so I'd have to choose the hugamonkey.
ReplyDeleteMy sister in law is due in March for her second child I would love to win the Hugamonkey sling to give her!
ReplyDeleteThe hugamonkey (well, particularly because it is size medium! :) looks great! I am pregnant with our first and look forward to many hours of babywearing... would love to make this the start of a collection! :)
ReplyDeleteMy friend Cathy has a 2 month old and has a sling she is not in love with and ends up using the stroller. She's teeny tiny so I think the Petunia would work for her. Thanks for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteAs much as I love the Petunia Picklebottom, I'm not sure it would fit me. So I would choose the hugamonkey. They're both so gorgeous, though!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to try the hugamonkey!
ReplyDeleteI love the name of the Petunia Pickle Bottom one, but there's no way on earth it would fit me! Please count me in for the Hugamonkey!
ReplyDeleteI would pick the Hugamonkey. Love the print on the Petunia Picklebottom, but if it wouldn't fit you than it definitely wouldn't fit me right after having a baby! :) The Hugamonkey would be great for my newborn in December, though!!
ReplyDeletei'd love to try the hugamonkey pouch!
ReplyDeleteyour photo is so sweet.
Oh what for a wonderful pouch... I never tried one of them before. I like slings, wraps, mei tais or onbuhimos... pouches are not popular in germany.
ReplyDeleteOoh.. would love the black one.
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE the hugamonkey!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win! I am little, hehe!
ReplyDeleteThanks - Heidi P.
h.polcaster@sbcglobal.net
I love both of these...but would give them away as baby gifts for my newly preggo friends...Put me in for the black sling...but gosh I LOVE the printed one!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to try the hugamonkey! I'm hoping to wear this baby (in less than two weeks!) from the beginning in a pouch.
ReplyDeleteOh, gosh! The Petunia Picklebottom print is so pretty. I don't wear pouches all the often, but they are GREAT to have around (at all times) for a quick carry. I have one that lives in my diaper bag for just such an occasion.
ReplyDeleteeither one would work great for my friend. I'm pretty sure the Petunia Picklebottom would fit her. She gave all of her slings away this last summer thinking she was done using them and now her little girl wants to be carried all the time. I'd love to give her this special gift. She is currently using a borrowed pouch that is too big for her.
ReplyDeleteYour picture is gorgeous! Love the Petunia picklebottom one! Hope I win!
ReplyDeleteThe hugamonkey one would fit me best :) I'm definitely not a small! :) <3 Nichole
ReplyDeleteWow, I was almost the 15th commenter on this post, but then my computer-time got interrupted... and now I'm 58th! Hope it's a lucky number! ;)
ReplyDeleteI LOOOOVE the Picklebottom one! I had a pouch-sling and was allowed to try it out beforehand, but I couldn't get a real sense of it without washing it first. Once it was washed and I had Jade in it for a while I realized that even though I'm not a tiny person, I'm so short-waisted that it makes a small when it comes to pouch-sling sizes! (I gave that one away... and if I were lucky enough to win this one and UNlucky enough that it didn't fit... well, I'd find it a good home, too, you can be sure of that!)
I'd like the Hugamonkey! Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeletecoolnatty12 at yahoo dot com
I'm a small!!! Love those, you are so generous steph!
ReplyDeletei'd love the medium! my cousin is expecting her 2nd, and keen to get into babywearing this time! It would be a perfect new baby gift, especially with a toddler to chase after and a mummy anxious to be present to both her babies! x
ReplyDeleteI would love the medium. They look amazaingly easy to use.
ReplyDeleteIs it okay if I like them both?
ReplyDeleteI know you know I can't wait to get a baby in a sling, ever since Nashville and Kansas City I've adored, coveted and desired your "slinging" from afar.
:)
I'd love either one!!! I'm already planning my next carrier, and not even pregnant yet, lol! Thanks, Steph!
ReplyDeleteKate
Ohhh, I'd love either one!!! My first baby is due in 6 weeks and I'm looking forward to babywearing! :)

jess.gustin@yahoo.com
Since I have never been told I was petite, I had better go with the hugamonkey. Thanks
ReplyDeleteOoh, I'd love the small one! That pattern is gorgeous, and I just happen to be petite, or my husband would say, really really short. hehe
ReplyDeleteI'd chose the plain black, but not for myself just at the moment (I'd be a little afraid my baby would fall out! He's gotten so big so fast) but I have a couple of good friends having babies soon and I need shower gifts!
ReplyDeleteI love pouches. Well, I love all carriers really, but pouches are so simple and cozy. I would probably pick the black because of the size, but I love the green print. I like to have a nice collection of different carriers so I always have something to lend out to a new parent, or a parent new to babywearing.
ReplyDeleteI would love to have the Hugamonkey sling!!
ReplyDeleteI love the Petunia Picklebottom one, and I the small would fit me.
ReplyDeleteslynn41202 at yahoo.com
I would choose the hugamonkey : )
ReplyDeleteI'd love the medium hugamonkey!
ReplyDeletei would love to win the hugamonkey for our new baby expected this spring! thanks for the generous giveaway!! :)
ReplyDeleteI would love the Hugamonkey sling. I am expecting our new little one soon and would it would be one less thing to worry about! Thanks so much fot the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI would choose the Petunia! I'm expecting my 3rd on December 8th and I'm really looking forward to babywearing! Didn't do much of it with the first two.
ReplyDeletebrookelutz@hotmail.com
I love them both! If I had to pick I guess it would be the Hugamonkey, but I'd be happy with either! Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleterachel_demille@yahoo.com
I would love to win the hugamonkey! :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun contest! I would love the hugamonkey because... black goes with everything... right?
ReplyDeleteThanks
SOMEDAY I'm going to have a baby to wear. It will happen, God willing. And when it does, I will wear that precious little monkey whether I win a sling here or not.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, whether that day comes or not, I will never be small enough for that adorable Petunia Picklebottom sling, so I'd have to pick the Hugamonkey. :D And if that day didn't come for me, I'd be sure to pass it along for the enjoyment of another mom.
PS: your pic is ADORABLE and I love the story behind it!
Since I hope to have more babies, I would LOVE to win a new sling :O) My only remaining sling is beautiful and handmade - and pretty new, but it was made of all satin and is so slippery and hot!!! Boo rats boo.
ReplyDeleteIf the Petunia sling will fit someone who wears a size six, I'd love to have it. But if not, then the black one would be wonderful as well.
You look so cute with the baby bjorn sling. I say it the same way you do. When I first started babywearing, I had one, too! I gave up on it fairly quickly because my kids are about 20 pounds at four to five months (and then stay that way until they hit a year or more). Anyway. Enough about me!!!
I totally loved my pouch and only felt comfortable with it for the longest time. Now, I'm in love with my ring sling. What's next as my baby grows??
ReplyDeleteI love the hugamonkey.
ReplyDeleteHave been hoping to find something soon, don't have much money, with hubby out of work. This would be a wonderful surprise!
Hugs Heart
I'd love the Hugamonkey. I need a new pouch sling as I don't have one right now!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win the black Hugamonkey pouch - I have a two week old daughter that I would love to try out babywearing with!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win the Hugamonkey! What a cute pouch! I am pregnant with my first, due in May, excited to start babywearing. I have learned so much from reading your blog Steph!
ReplyDeletetrace@styleklutz.com
OH I love the Dancing in Dublin one! SO pretty. And I am so short and small I'm pretty sure it would fit me. My ring slings are all small or extra small, so I think that would work. Oh fun Steph! Sorry I haven't been by to visit lately; my paying job has every spare moment tied up, but I love the idea of sharing favorite babywearing photos; I will have to dig through some of mine and do a post this week with them. Take care!
ReplyDeleteHugamonkeyyyy!! So adorable!

ReplyDeleteI have a Moby Wrap knockoff (I made it) that I constantly carried my son in...oh, I loved it! Can't wait to baby wear again soon!
I would love a chance to win the Hugamonkey pouch. I'm due in February with my third! I also have a good friend who is petite and just had her first child, so if you don't mind entering me for both...that would be great!
ReplyDeletebwyramon@yahoo.com
I would love to have the hugamonkey pouch!
ReplyDeleteAs a small person, I'd love the Petunia Picklebottom one for my baby due in early May. What a cute pattern!
ReplyDeleteI've been swooning over slings and would love the black Hugamonkey pouch for my little boy due in March.
ReplyDeleteAs always you are gorgeous wearing your children!
I think the hugamonkey would be great to try. I currently make my own ring slings and have a Gypsy Mama that I absolutely L O V E. This would be a great addition to my collection for my new baby coming in April 2010. I have not been on your blog in FOREVER...sorry about that.
ReplyDeleteI like the Hugamonkey
ReplyDeletelkish77123 at gmail dot com
I love pouches! Until recently, it was the only carrier my babe would be content in. (He has since broken out of his shell and tried a few other varieties!) We would be happy to win either pouch. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the Hugamonkey - what a cute name! Pretty sure the other one would be too small for me too! : )
ReplyDeleteThanks Steph!
I love pouch slings...the hugamonkey would be perfect...and I wish I was small enough for the Petunia Picklebottom one...don't you just love their fabric!
ReplyDeleteI would love the Hugamonkey! I have a couple of slings that I use with my first daughter and a black one would be the perfect addition now that we are having baby number 2. :)
ReplyDeleteI would love the picklebottom one...I have wanted to try a pouch sling.
ReplyDeleteMy baby girl is a month old and I would love the Hugamonkey!!

Jack loves pickles (try finding those in the organic food isle) and I bet he would love that sling too! Small is perfect. Wish us luck. We enjoy your blog and pics so much!
ReplyDeleteI love the Petunia Picklebottom pouch. Thank you so much for doing this.
ReplyDeleteBri
I would love the Hugamonkey!
ReplyDeleteMy sis is pregnant with her first and she doesn't know what she is having yet, so I would love to win the hugamonkey for her!
ReplyDeleteThe hugamonkey would be great to wear #2!
ReplyDeleteI'd go for the Hugamonkey :)
ReplyDeleteeod_army_wife04(at)yahoo(dot)com
I would LOVE the Petunia Picklebottom! Expecting in March and would love to have a new sling for the new one!
ReplyDeleteI'd love the hugamonkey! I have a peanut shell pouch sling but it's getting a little too small as my daughter gets bigger... this one would be perfect!
ReplyDeleteI would want the k Hugamonkey pouch, size medium [$34.99]. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI would like to win the hugamonkey (what a cute name for a pouch!). Not sure yet if I'll keep it for myself or give as a gift yet :)
ReplyDeleteI love the Petunia Pickle Bottom Sojourn. I am no longer wearing anyone, but I would love to win it for my good friend who just had a baby!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd go with either! I'd keep the small picklebottom sling for me and give away the other to my best friend who just had her 3rd (right on the coattails of her 2nd!) I'd love to share babywearing pics but I aways have the camera :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not much of a pouch-wearer either. My carrier of choice is a wrap or mei tai for when my babies are itty bitty...and the ERGO for when my babies are 6M+.
ReplyDeleteP.S. It's super cool of you to host this giveaway and ship out-of-pocket.
