My new baby girl is still very much new. And very much girl.
Today is not only a new day, but the beginning of a whole new week, and for me, some fresh perspective.
I'd like to start over.

What an absolutely beautiful picture!!! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThis makes me think of when I was a little kid and somebody didn't like how things were turning out in a game or whatever, and a "let's start over" would be said. And, usually without much of a fight, start over again we would. Sigh... Life is so simple when you're a kid.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite quotes is this one which I am happy to share with you:
“Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.” ~Maria Robinson
It's not a Bible verse (though I'm sure something like it is in there somewhere!), but I always remind myself of this when I am surveying my home and children and growing pile of dishes. And it never fails to encourage me. I hope it does the same for you.
Blessings, Susan
Gorgeous photo. My BFF had a baby boy the day before my baby's first birthday last week. I wasn't able to be there, but I could hear him squeaking on the phone. I can't believe a whole year has passed since she was that new. I imagine that's how you feel about Ivy LaRue. (Great story about how she got her name btw).
ReplyDeleteStarting over is a good thing. I can't believe that's Ivy. So precious.
ReplyDelete((hugs)) I so know what you mean. They grow up way to fast.
ReplyDeleteYou can always start over. That's the beauty of life.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to believe that's the same little girl, but she's just as beautiful and special now as she was then.
I feel that way sometimes, too, especially after a rough week where I've felt scattered and spread way too thin. And then I'll do something symbolic to kick off that "new beginning." Maybe you should, too!
ReplyDeleteIt can be anything... a little toast to yourself with a glass of wine, a "spiritual" walk around the block, or even cleaning and organizing a room and looking around to appreciate it's orderliness.
I wish you many happy new beginnings.
And that's a beautiful picture.
oof, I need a start-over.
ReplyDeleteI just want to tell you that your perspective as of late has encouraged me. even on your rough days, (because we all have 'em...), it's assuring to know I'm not alone.
I like new, and we could *all* use a fresh start every now and again. Wow, look at teeny tiny Ivy. Amazing how fast the time goes.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that's her! What a year.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous picture! I miss new babies!!!! I have baby fever again LOL.
ReplyDeleteI hope next week, is an amazing awesome week for you. Wish me luck in mine as I start packing for our up coming move while stile trying to figure out how to entertain my lovely 8 month old.
ReplyDeleteI just love that picture. And I just love newborns. They don't last for long. Good thing we have excellent memories and brilliant photographs to remind us of those days.
ReplyDeleteHooray for new perspective! Happy new week to you.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great that God's mercies are new every morning?! I sure need them!
ReplyDeleteI KNOW. I was holding my brother's baby and suddenly realized that we were done that stage and it just about killed me, right there. How can it be over?
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely picture.
ReplyDeleteisn't that something!? How I was thinking on my drive home tonite, I wanted Windy to be home! She is at a friends spending the night and try as I did, to get her to have her friend come spend the night here, it didn't work! We always want our babies back, but we enjoy the journey the bring us on! Plus if we start over, it's without the knowledge and wisdom we have gained and we probably wouldn't enjoy it as much as we think! You know what I mean? Ahh, Ivy is precious and Noah, Carter and Gray are precious! I think that's where the term "JUST DO IT" came from! AMAZING!
