I forgot Ivy's well-loved stuffed monkey, on our trip last week. As soon as we checked in at the airport I had her choose a new lovey in the gift shop. She of course chose another monkey.
We say where's your monkey? probably five hundred times a day. I'm not complaining. Here we are playing it just after she woke up this morning.

ReplyDeleteIt's "Madaline...Where's you Bear" in our house.
ReplyDeletegooNNess (Madaline speak) she's a cutie!
I see two cute little monkeys! =) Adorable!
ReplyDeleteShe is just so cute!!! Big Sister loves cats - but her brother got her a bear for her birthday that she is currently sleeping with. :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute!! Daniel has his Quacky (a white duck) and Elmer (A blue elephant).
ReplyDeleteOlivia has a well loved blanket (blankie) that she's had since before she was born. It was given to me, used, from a friend. I've never found another like it. We tried getting her to "love" other blankets over the last 3 yrs, but she wouldn't have any of it.
ReplyDeleteBut we're always saying, "where's your blanket"... although in the last month, I've noticed she only wants it when she's tired or upset, so maybe we're almost done with it!
Just caught up on your last few posts. I'm finally getting back into a routine now that school has started. Ivy is looking so much older, but still as cute as always!!
ReplyDeleteWe sometimes call our daughter "Chunky Monkey" because she was born in the Chinese year of the monkey.
ReplyDeleteIvy, if you are wondering, is a rat. But we always remind people to think of Templeton, think of Basil, Mrs. Frisby, Scabbers and Remy. Don't just think "rat." Heh.
Pixie has a Swaddle Baby
ReplyDeletethat she LOVES.
Unfortunately it recently became a bit destroyed....
I feel your forgetting the monkey pain.
Wee little mama's need their "babies".
We've got countless elephants around here - both kids are obsessed with them and their blankies :)
ReplyDeleteIvy's such a doll!
Oh yes, I understand all about that. We have these little dolls from Walmart, they are Libby's babies. She loves any and all babies. oh, and her bear that I got from the Mom Select suite at Blogher. I wasn't going to take it, but Libby insisted.
ReplyDeleteIf I didn't know any better, I'd say that looks like Gray holding a monkey on his head! WOW!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful shot!
ReplyDeleteShe's so sweet, Steph.
ReplyDeleteWe actually call our oldest "monkey" too sometimes. :)

For Reichen and Latham, it's where's your baby? Reichen's is a well loved lamb and Latham's is well loved puppy.
ReplyDeleteTime flies so fast! JR is saying mama all the time now; just so crazy how big the babies got!
ReplyDeleteI thought I was the only one that put stuffed animals on my daughter's head.
ReplyDeleteI love that just woke up, still sleepy look.
too cute for words! my babe hasn't got a favourite toy..or maybe yes..my booby oops!
ReplyDeleteHA! Too cute!
ReplyDeleteMy son has a stuffed monkey that he loves as well? We also find ourselves asking, probably too many times a day, "Where's your monkey?" But I love that he loves his monkey, it is the perfect size for carrying around!

we have one of those too... her name is "baby". she says "Baby? baby? baby?" it's nice that they have something they feel so connected to.
ReplyDeleteIs Sophie the giraffe gone?
ReplyDeleteThat picture is adorable!
ReplyDeleteZoe has a stuffed monkey (Elroy) that she's had since she was almost 2.
ReplyDeleteWe joke that he possibly has SARS. Dude has been around the block more than once.
And she LOVES him.
In our house now, it's "Troy, where's Puppy?"
Ivy is the cutest monkey ever!
So cute! Bug is very attached to her burp cloths (those really gauzy cloth diaper ones)... good thing I have about 6 of them! I do wish she would have latched onto something as cute as a monkey. She does kiss Buzz Lightyear all the time, but it's just not the same!
