Ivy's first birthday is September 15, so I'm posting fun giveaways every day to celebrate. You can see all the other giveaway posts so far here.
You might recognize Ivy's dress as one of the re-purposed dresses I asked my beloved blog friend Kim (who has an etsy shop here) to make for Ivy out of some old favorite tees of mine. And if you visit here often, you'll notice Ivy wears these dresses allthetime.
For Day 11 of the 15 Days of Ivy giveaways, Kim is generously offering to make TWO dresses for a winner here! Visit her shop and then leave a comment on this post describing which item in your closet you are thinking of sending in for your little boy or girl if you win.
I'll choose one winner at random on the night of Ivy's birthday, September 15. Winner will be contacted via email (so please include it when you fill out the secure comment form) and I'll also announce all winners here by September 16.

Such sweet photos!
ReplyDeleteI would love to have something made by Kim, I love her!
I have the CUTEST vintage blue-polka dog pillowcase. It would make The Baby the funniest dress in the world!
ReplyDeleteIvy is a DOLL.
I am thinking of a few tee-shirts I can't bear to throw out. They would make perfect dresses for my 15 month old daughter.
ReplyDeleteLove the IVY pictures. She is too precious.
I tried so hard to dig my heels in time when my girl turned one! Celebrating it seems a better idea!
ReplyDeleteIf I could part with it, I'd have Kim make a dress out of my beloved Neil Diamond concert tee. :)
She is a girly girl on the go.
ReplyDeleteLove these pics! Ivy grew so fast :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to make one out of the kelly green jersey cotton t of my hubs. I love him in in, but it has a stain. Great way to pass it on!!
I love recycling clothes! This would be super cool to win . . .I'm thinking a couple peasant shirts I have that I just don't wear anymore would be perfect.
ReplyDeleteWe are an Air Force family. I would have her make a dress out of my husband's PT shirt, and for the other one, I would have her make a dress out of my brothers ARMY PT shirt. :)
ReplyDeleteI love Kim's dresses she makes. I have a few Disney t shirts I would love to see made into dresses for Morgan.
ReplyDeleteOh, wow. I would definitely have to have my closet handy (in storage right now, they called yesterday saying it's all arrived from England). But this would be a majorly fun thing to do!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite baby doll tee was worn so much that it now has a couple of pinhead sized holes where it rubbed against my favorite jeans. I'd love to turn it into a short sleeved dress for my toddler.
ReplyDeletebeccachristensen at hotmail dot com
As always, sweet and adorable photos :) I have a couple of concert-related t-shirts that I would love to have remade.
ReplyDeletei'd just like to know where ivy's adorable shoes are from.
ReplyDeleteWell, since my first try at getting one of my shirts didn't work out so well (Lily is too big for it ALREADY and was only able to wear it ONCE....she's such a chunky monkey!), I would LOVE a chance to get some dresses made in Lily's MUCH bigger size (she's only 6mo and wearing 18mo clothes!) LOL.
ReplyDeleteI have a really cute black and white dress/long shirt that I think I would use and I think I may even try to find a shirt of Todd's to use, wouldn't that be cool?!?!
Thanks so much!
Jen
Danielle- Ivy's shoes are Pedipeds. We got them at a boutique nearby. They don't hold up on the outside very well- show a lot of wear, but they protect her feet and stay on, so that's all that matters to me!
ReplyDeleteSteph
After showing your post about Ivy's dresses that Kim made to my co-worker who sews, I pulled out 3-4 shirts that I would love turned into dresses for my little girl!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! I'd love to win, but don't think I have a thing in my closet cute enough to transform.
ReplyDeleteI may have to borrow from someone elses' closet.
I would love to have my Ludo(they're a band) T-shirt made into a dress for my daughter, it is to small for my now and some spots aren't in the best of shape. My husband probably has a few shirts that he would hate to get rid of but don't fit him anymore also. It would be a really hard decision to pick just 2!
ReplyDeletetropicaljello1988@yahoo.com
These are so cute! I have several old Lucky Brand shirts that have been hanging around my closet waiting for me to wear again. I would love for my little girl to have them as dresses!
ReplyDeleteceruleanblue42@gmail.com
I have a Sarah Mclachlan concert t-shirt that would be perfect for this (it has a few stains) and baby would be SO cute in it!
ReplyDeleteShe's surely on the move these days, isn't she!? So sweet!
I would love to make her a dress out of my very old and waaaayyyy to small Kiss concert T and a Dukes of Hazzard T from my childhood and is very retro. The Kiss T has sparkly letters, and would be so adorable on my little muffin.. who, by the way, is named Aley and is 10 months old.
ReplyDeleteThey would be nice alternatives to the mountain of pink that now has taken over her closet!
I have two shirts from the 5k's I have run this year that I would LOVE to get done for my two girls!
ReplyDeleteamanda.r.jamieson@gmail.com
Its not a matter of what but how many!!! I have soo many shirts I cant bear to get rid of my 1 year old would look cute in all of them! I have a blue adidas shirt Im sure would match her eyes perfectly!
ReplyDeleteOoh - I've been trying to think of a birthday gift for my husband, and I think a dress for our sweet baby made out of one of his favorite old T-Shirts from his baseball days (state champions!!) that is too holey to wear anymore would be just perfect! What a great thing!
ReplyDeleteI have a shirt I'm saving specifically for this purpose. I got it at Target last year, and only wore it a couple of times before I shrunk it in the wash and it no longer looked good. It has two purple lovebirds beak-to-beak with a heart in between them, on a pretty branch. I hate to throw it out, and my little girl needs new dresses. ;)
ReplyDeleteThat is adorable!
ReplyDeletethat little ivy is just so beautiful! that's a great idea too by the way...
ReplyDeleteThose are so sweet.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Ivy!
I know of quite a few t-shirts off the top of my head that I would love to do this with!! Unfortunately I just threw out all of my really old shirts that don't fit or there would have been a few others I would have liked too!
ReplyDeleteAlmost time for Ivy's birthday! She is so sweet. :)
I have an awesome vintage pillow case that I would love to be made into something new!
ReplyDeleteOh, and maybe my Jimi H. T-shirt
Thanks - Heidi P.
h.polcaster@sbcglobal.net
I LOOOOVE this idea! I have a few t-shirts that my husband gave me when we were dating that are too small for me. I would definitely use two of those!
ReplyDeleteI'd send in a grey and pink Chris Tomlin t-shirt I got at a concert a few years ago. It's too small for me now, so I'd love to see my daughter wear it!
ReplyDeletehow super sweet! love the re-purposed dresses- I need more baby girls! lol!
ReplyDeletemyglorylife@yahoo.com
I have a couple of old dresses from my teenage years that I would have made into something for my daughter. What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteskolacki@hotmail.com
Ivy is a doll and looks so great in all of those re-purposed dresses.
ReplyDeleteI have a super comfy maternity top that I loved that I would send. Or even better one of my Hubby's old shirts.
Ooh, dresses from Kim? One can never have too many. I think I'd have to scrounge up an old Less Than Jake (band) shirt, plus maybe one of her papa's favorite (and nearly ratty) Mt. Whitney shirts. That would totally melt him. Hmmm...
ReplyDeleteSo this is tough because I don't have anything that I would love enough...but I am sure I could find something amazing though in my local thrift store :)
ReplyDeleteI would go thrifting for a vintage pillowcase for one of those dresses. I love them!
ReplyDeleteI would either repurpose my green ivy pillowcase into a dress for my 3 year old or my favorite american eagle peace sign shirt...
ReplyDeleteI just found out yesterday that I'm having a girl! I have a few t-shirts that may never fit again thanks to (ahem) breastfeeding my son, so it would be so neat to have them made into little dresses! What a cool idea!
ReplyDeleteWow, I have an old dress that I've been wanting to make into a toddler dress but never get around to it - great if someone else could! amandarj01 (at) hotmail (dot) com
ReplyDeleteHa, I love the translation of the collage! :)
ReplyDeleteLove those dresses... I think I'd have to say one of my husband's old shirts that he can't part with!
I have no clue what I'd send. I can think of about 10 things right off the bat. Maybe my U2 concert shirt? That would make an awesome dress for Ms. Bea.
ReplyDeleteMy dad is in the Army and I love the idea that someone else had to use an old Army PT shirt.
ReplyDeleteI have some cute music t-shirts from the school I work at that would be adorable repurposed into a dress!
ReplyDeleteI would love to have one of my old vacation T-shirts made into a dress for the baby. I can't bring myself to get rid of those old T-shirts. This is a fantastic solution.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love the dresses with the ribbons around the arm holes that tie on the top - so cute! From working at 2 different summer camps, we have a LOT of t-shirts that could definitely stand to be repurposed, but they mean something to us. :)
ReplyDeleteOh goodness Ivy is SO cute! I can't wait for Eden to start walking.....or can I? ;)
ReplyDeleteStacy
I admired the t-shirt dresses enough to send the original link onto my mom. I'm hoping she got the hint!
ReplyDeleteMy first reaction would be to turn an old Liverpool shirt (my husband's FAVORITE soccer team) into a little dress, but I have to say I have always loved pillowcase dresses. She does beautiful work!
How Fun! And I love how Ivy is a model on her Etsy site, and a great model at that! She is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI would probably have her do one of my old softball tshirts from when I was little and/or an old shirt of my mom's.
She is adorable!
ReplyDeleteI would probably get a dress made out of my favorite maternity shirt - there just seems to be something vaguely clever about that. Plus the shirt has a super cute pattern.
helenamanda at gmail dotcom
Yes, she is so dainty. Don't you love it?
ReplyDeleteI have an old "Where the Wild Things Are" t-shirt that I would love to have made into a dress for my Ivy.
Bri
OH YES! Sign me up! I'm loving Bug's dress & I already have 2 shirts put aside for the next ones... just waiting on some $$ to free up! :)
ReplyDeleteOh I just love those dresses!!! Those are so cute!!! As for what I would have her make - well, I have this pink shirt (okay I actually have three) that we got a game for our local AHL team - it has history with our family. Hubby believes my wearing it makes the team win. So, I would probably want one turned into a dress for Big Sister. As for the second ....I'm not completely sure. I have a shirt I got at Disney on my honeymoon that I never wear anymore - so maybe that.
ReplyDeleteI would pick one of my old shirts from the days when my hubby and I were dating. I still have a few, like the shirt I was wearing when he proposed and this really cute minnie mouse shirt. Something that has memories that would just be classic on my child.
ReplyDeleteivy is adorable!
ReplyDeletei have a couple shirts i wouldn't mind being made into dresses for my girls. what a fun idea.
thegoodmanfam(at)msn(dot)com
I have some Tshirts that belonged to my son who passed in 2002 that I would like to have done for my sweet granddaughter.
ReplyDeleteI love the repurposed tee dresses and pillow case dresses.
ReplyDeleteI would probably have a dress made out of my Rosie the Riveter tee.
Love this idea! I have several t-shirts from high school that would be adorable for my 10 month old, and maybe a Jimmy Buffett t-shirt of my husband's. He would get a kick out of that.
ReplyDeletei have a couple tees that i can't bear to part with even though i haven't worn them since college! would make perfect baby dresses!
ReplyDeletekate dot serra at drake dot edu
Awesome shop! I have some outdated skirts which would make cute little clothes for my Olivia!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, those are so cute!
ReplyDeleteI have so many old t-shirts of my hubby's that he can't wear anymore and they would make for the perfect outfit's for our little boy. I would also love to have one made from his old Navy Uniform because we just can't part with them!

mccartney_40@yahoo.com
I don't know that this shirt would work, but my husband got me a baseball tee for my first Mother's Day that says, "i heart alex." Alex is about to turn 5 and will be having our baby girl in the next month. I can't think of anything cuter for her to wear than something declaring her love for her big brother!
ReplyDeleteI think I would have a couple of my old theater shirts remade for Katy and Zach. My Annie shirt would go to Katy, because it was my fav from high school. And I would have my Grease shirt remad for Zach because I got pregnant with him while working on that show.
ReplyDeletei have an elevation church (my church) tshirt that i would love to have made into a dress, i also have a maternity top that i wore while i was prego with her that i LOVE and would look cute as a dress. it may even make two dresses ;) one fore each of my girls!!
ReplyDeleteoh, ivy is absolutely darling!!!! look at her go!!
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness. that is too cute. i know i'm supposed to pick an old t-shirt but i think i would probably pick a pillowcase instead! what a cool idea, and SO CUTE. -leah *nystraldjo at hotmail dot com*
ReplyDeleteI love this idea so much. I have a lot of old band t'shirts (mostly local bands) that I can't part with that would make great rompers.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I would love to have some of my old pillow cases made into a cute dress!
ReplyDeleteAdventuresofanalicat at gmail dot com
This would be an awesome use for the t's I just can't part with - I'd have a hard time deciding which one though...
ReplyDeleteangleicka (at) gmail (dot) com
I have so many old t-shirts hanging up and stored away...I don't like parting with my beloved clothes at all and this would be a perfect way to "save" them!
ReplyDeleteDarling pictures--she is a doll!
I think I still have dresses that belonged to my mother. I've kept them because I couldn't part with them. Maybe that's it...
ReplyDeleteYou have me cutting into so many of my old shirts and making them for my lil sweet pea! Love em!
ReplyDeleteI love the Prairie Mama Winter Wheat Ring Sling! Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteI already know I would be a crete tshirt where I lived from 1 to 5 yrs. It's to small but I can't get rid of it.
ReplyDeletei have a t shirt from about 8 years ago and maybe something from when i was first married.
ReplyDeletethanks!
Such a cool idea. I have an old club shirt from college, and a dance team shirt from high school nthat would be fun!
ReplyDeleteSuch a genius idea! Ivy look so cute in her re-purposed outfit. I don't keep enough of my old clothes...maybe something from an old soccer t-shirt.
ReplyDeleteOh my....I have an entire pile of tshirts that I can't part with but I never ever wear. That will be a hard decision....but what a brilliant idea to do this.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!

I have a few tops that I will probably never fit into again. I'm not sure why I've been holding on to them. This would be a perfect way to reuse them :)
ReplyDeletenikimom @ live . com
what a great idea! i thinki've got a few that would be perfect!
ReplyDeletei have boys, but would love some cute shirts for my niece!
ReplyDeleteI would love a dress made out of an old college tee shirt. My husband and I both went to the same university and he would be so proud to see his little girl wearing purple!
ReplyDeleteMy friend made dresses out of Lilla's old bed skirt. I would probably use Anna's bedskirt or bedding this time.
ReplyDeleteIvy is too cute!
ReplyDeleteI have some cool and comfortable dresses that don't quite fit me anymore. They would make such cute baby girl dresses!
magaly(dot)cordero(at)gmail(dot)com
Well, I would love one of the dresses, but since I have boys, I would have to say I would go with a sling or something.
ReplyDeleteI have a beautiful pillowcase that would be perfect for this! (it is so not comfortable to sleep on though...)
ReplyDeleteonecheaplady@yahoo.com
Definitely my Beck 'Two Turntables' concert tee. It would be an awesome kiddo piece.
ReplyDelete-Abby
I adore the philosophy of upcycling--how beautifully sentimental to take a shirt that was yours and find a lovely way to pass it down to your daughter.
ReplyDeleteI SO want to do the exact same thing:)
I have a couple of graphic print tees that have outlasted their wear-ability that I would love to be able to give to Pixie.
Thank you so much for introducing me to Kim's business! I am really hoping to win:)

First I just have to say how adorable little Miss Ivy is ... how do you ever put your camera down???? As for the things I would love to "remake", it would be items of my sister's clothes that I've kept ... she passed away in 2006. She was much smaller than me, so I'll never wear them but just cant part with them, it would be fun to put our little Mary in something her Aunty once wore.
ReplyDeletei like the idea of repurposing a t-shirt. we have so many of them. and it seems like it would be comfortable for my daughter to wear...
ReplyDeletemelanie(dot)myatt(at)gmail(dot)com
How fun. I love the cute dresses she wears from your shirts.
ReplyDeleteI have a really cute blue/brown paisley shirt I purchased awhile ago not realizing that it was a maternity shirt. I think it would make a great dress for the girls.
My grade school t-shirts with my school logos, yes I still have them and no they don't fit me... but they would make adorable dresses :) sf19742003@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm not one to keep around clothes for terribly long so I can't say that I have any vintage t-shirts hanging around. But I think making something out of one of my maternity shirts would be fun. Kind of a 'circle of life' kind of thing. :)
ReplyDeleteI have a handmade baby doll dress that one of my best friends from college made for me long ago. I wore it to almost every Grateful Dead show I ever attended. I'd love to see that dress live on.
ReplyDeleteWell I love the baseball tee, but if they are sold out, I think the teal marl is pretty. If I don
ReplyDeletet win, I may just buy one, they look so comfy.
what she is doing is just utterly amazing!
oops, that last comment was for a different post ; )
ReplyDeleteI have so many tee shirts and skirts that would be so cute made into dresses for my girls!
ReplyDeletemomma2littleones at gmail dot com
I'd like to have my color striped tee turned into a dress for my little one. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI have a t-shirt that was my Grandma's. It has clovers all over it and would make an adorable shirt!
ReplyDeleteI have a skort from old navy that has long since ceased to fit my body, but I LOVE the fabric...would love to have something for my little girlie out of it...fun!
ReplyDeleteAn awesome green t-shirt that shrunk too much. I keep pretending I will turn it into a pillow, but a dress would be much cooler.
ReplyDeleteOoh goodness, I don't even know where to start! I have a couple of shirts that would make really cute dresses...although I'm not sure I'm ready to part with them!
ReplyDeleteadorable! I like the chicken sundress. and since I live in Texas, my daughters wear sundresses year round! You HAVE to pick me! ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to IVY!!
Yes, she is. Precious, that is. And dainty.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I "window shop" at esty, I always wish that I could sew. Those repurposed dresses are just so fun, but I'm not a seamstress (at all).
If I won, I'd probably pick a few of my husband's t-shirts to repurpose. He has a motorcycle one that might be particularly cool.
