I love these photos despite his unwillingness to cooperate. Wonder why so many photos of just Ivy? Now you know.
Childish sticky fingers. Sometimes he'll still hold my hand.
With each tug in the other direction his heart reaches out further for mine. I know him. He knows I know him. He is safe.
He needs me more now than he ever has.

Even uncooperative, he's a cutey! I love the last photo.
ReplyDeleteHe is too sweet. He knows how much his mother loves him and that is all that matters!
ReplyDeleteHe reminds me so much of my little boy! Some of my favorite pictures are of him crying or frowning (as strange as that sounds.) Very sweet post. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is so hard for me to get a picture of my 3-year-old smiling! These pics are so cute!!
ReplyDeleteI love him, and I love how much he loves Asher.
ReplyDeleteThese pictures melt my heart and remind me of my own moody (for lack of better words) two year old.
ReplyDeleteHe's precious. And the last one made me giggle a little :)
Oh he is adorable!! And I feel like my little guy (going into kindergarten) needs me more now too. Even if he is busy trying to be just like daddy and be independent and stuff
ReplyDeleteHe makes me think so much of Luke right now. I get that pose several times a day, and I know that I need to just wrap him in a hug.
ReplyDeletePoor guy....at least he's adorable in his shyness.
ReplyDeletein this pic I see a cutie!! He is so sweet!
ReplyDeleteSee and people wonder sometimes why the mom only post photos of one child haha.. this is how it was for a while on my blog. I could only get taite to smile for me or even be halfway willing to be in a picture! So I wasnt posing much on Caleb.. but thats just the way kids are some times :)
ReplyDeleteGray is adorable unwilling tho HEHE
Just precious!
ReplyDeleteHe's so sweet :)
ReplyDeleteThese are great because they show so much of who he is. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh goodness! This reminds me of my middle child. She does the exact same thing in pictures. She refuses to cooperate. Funny, though, the moments when she tries to break away from me are usually when she needs me most. It's a good thing that mothers know their children so well!
ReplyDeleteHe sure reminds me of Terry. He was an expert in pouting.
ReplyDeleteUhm. I think my Gray needs to come over. Like soon. Don't keep him from me any longer...ok?? I'm home all day tomorrow. And Friday.
ReplyDeleteaww, gray! i adore your boys. ivy too, of course. i just don't get to experience the boy thing like you right now. and your boys are awesome!
ReplyDeletei'll show elle these pics tomorrow. she misses him.
Oh. Sweet boy. That reminds me of my little guy - he has my heart for sure. He started Kindergarten this year. He ran in the house and straight into my arms today. I wanted to cry.
ReplyDeleteVery sweet post.
I am still learning that when Jake is at his grumpiest is when he needs his most love.
ReplyDeleteGreat post.
Oh he reminds me so much of my Seth.
ReplyDeleteI love my Gray. He was such an angel tonight for me. He gives the best hugs.
ReplyDeleteI feel this. Intensely. My Bigs refuse the camera and they do so need me. Beautiful Steph. You are such an insightful mom.
ReplyDeleteoh you just can feel the need to hug me throguh the photos! that last pic is simply wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHe is quite simply the cutest kid - love his personality, you are so lucky to have him living with you for the next few "whizz, flying past" years!!!
ReplyDeletewell, he's still so handsome, even with a frown!
ReplyDelete{{HUGS!}}
ReplyDeleteI know it's hard, but at least he's cute. (At least, that's what gets me through it over here at my house!) :)
I want you to know I came across your blog about a week ago and have thought about you throughout this week. Love it here!
