life's a beach
In all my years I've never understood why anyone would want to spend the day at the beach. I love the beach at sunset, with a walk along the shore. But what do you do a whole day long?
I totally get it now.

Some of my fondest memories of my childhood are the beach days... the coolers of soda, sand in my sandwich, crunchy sandy chips. :)
ReplyDeleteI always felt the same way about the beach. I never liked getting all sanding and laying in the sun is so not my thing. But now that I have a kid it is a hole different ball game. Seeing his face light up as soon as we hit the sand. And playing in the ocean. Priceless!
ReplyDeleteso nice. I can't wait to take my daughter to the ocean someday!
ReplyDeleteI love the beach - anytime! Day, night whenever I just simply love the beach. :)
ReplyDeleteI am a beach addict, and have been from a very early age. Love it! Glad you found out about the magic of a beach day!
ReplyDeleteI loved the beach as a child. LOVED IT. I love the lake as a adult... the beach is okay, but our beaches are kinda gross. I much prefer jumping off the boat into the deep water and swimming/floating/inner-tubing or even jet-skiing...oh, how I'm longing for some water toys now!

The beach looks lovely - the waves are pretty high too. Whenever we went to the beach as kids, it was at sundown and we stayed until almost dark. Of course we didn't get sunburned. I think since my mom didn't drive that we had to wait for my dad to get home from work to go. I'll bet the kids had a great time.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the beach! Toes in the sand, listening to the waves, soaking in the sun...
ReplyDeleteI love the beach!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to the beach in 12 years!! I really need to go!
ReplyDeleteI love the beach.
ReplyDeleteSadly, the one I grew up playing on was all but washed away during Hurricane Ike (Galveston Island).
I'm so hurt, I haven't even gone back to see what's left...but I've heard it's not too good.
I am sure the kids make it so much more fun! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the beach...all day. And now that I have kids it makes it even more fantastic!
