Coming home from the water park hotel Great Wolf Lodge. Carter wailed and howled and grieved for one. hour. straight. I never would have taken a photo of the tears streaming down (and maybe a video recording) in a million years.
But people, one. hour. straight.
And with a cameo role in this photo, Ivy's little toe.

Oh my goodness! Have you ever seen anything so pitiful?! My husband told me about that place--a co-worker recommended it to him. I take it that kids enjoy it so much they don't want to leave?? :)
ReplyDeleteYou've got to love the extended drama. In a still shot it's actually pretty cute!
ReplyDeleteYou mean old meanie! Making him leave the LODGE?!? Gasp! How could you?!? :) love the lip. and the toe.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot... Hey... I would cry too if my fun ends too soon!!
ReplyDeletehilarious - hope to meet you this weekend??
ReplyDeleteOh no, he looks so sad. From here, it's cute. From where you were sitting, probably not so much...
ReplyDeletepoor little guy.
ReplyDeleteAwww, mom! Ha ha. :)
ReplyDeleteAwww.. It's so sad when they get the lower lip going. But, oh my goodness, he is so freaking cute. Sorry.. I know he's sad and crying, but awww...
ReplyDeletePoor thing! Such hurt feelings.
ReplyDeleteAt least you know he had a good time, I mean why else would he have cried for so long. :-)
Ohhhh he may be sad...But he's soooo cute! Xx
ReplyDeleteMy heart broke for the poor little guy! Then I read what was going on, and now I'm just jealous! I'd cry for an hour straight too!
ReplyDelete(Great cameo of Ivy's toe too!)
I guess he loved it. :) Silly little man.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't see those lovely toes!
It's funny that this photo of him with tears streaming down his face actually speaks volumes for what a great time he had there with his family.
ReplyDeleteLove this photo. And Ivy's toe.
Oh, the injustice! ;)
ReplyDeleteThen you shouldn't have made him leave ;) All he wanted to do was stay longer!!! Cute capture - especially the toe!
ReplyDeleteI love it! Luke did not cry when we left Great Wolf, but he seriously talked about the big bucket and the water slides for months. He still brings it up some times! We should definitely all plan a vacation there some day.
ReplyDeleteThis would be a great commercial for Great Wolf Lodge when a kid leaves. Carter is so pitiful. Ivy just had to get in the picture, didn't she?
ReplyDeletetoo cute!
ReplyDeletethat's too cute, we are planning a trip to one of their locations & i'm expecting at least 1 child to cry about leaving. everyone says it's a blast.
ReplyDeleteDon't you know? Life officially ends when you leave a water park. He had every reason to be upset. :) I can't wait till he is older and you can bring this picture out again. :)
ReplyDeleteawwwwww...... life.
ReplyDeleteThis touching little photo converted very nicely to black and white.
ReplyDeletePoor Carter! That Wolf Lodge Hotel must be one happening place!!
awe, poor guy!
ReplyDeleteLaying it on thick, huh? :)
ReplyDeleteOh my, sad guy!
ReplyDeleteAwwww...look at that face!
ReplyDeleteI've heard about this place - I'd cry too if I had to leave!
ReplyDeleteAwwww, poor thing!
ReplyDeleteI love how you call it mourning :) Ivy's toe is awesome :)
ReplyDeleteHAahah, oh my, that is great, cute and pitiful, all at the same time! So sorry for the one hour straight crying, but years in the future that will be a fun story to tell.
ReplyDeleteOh, and this is Miche, I'm signed in on my work account, so I just did the anonymous comment option. :)
We have one of those Great Wolf Lodges nearby. My MIL wants to go with the us and the rest of the (feral) grandchildren. I'm not kidding, they are OUT OF CONTROL. So, I think I'd rather have a sharp stick in the eye...
ReplyDeleteBut back to your photo...oh my goodness! So sweet, sad and funny. You'll love pulling that one out when he's a teenager!
Oh that is so funny. Poor little guy. He looks so sad!!
ReplyDeleteOh, my - that is a LONG time - glad you made it home & now you get a nice break. :)
ReplyDeleteThat must be some waterpark! How pitiful.

ReplyDeletethat is the best cameo i've seen in quite some time.
left you an award on my blog :) hope you pass a great weekend
ReplyDeleteOh my, I love it. I read once that we should be capturing these types of moments with our family too, not just the happy ones. I tend to agree. This shows life and emotion. Great :)
ReplyDeleteI love the little drama king. My son would do the same thing!
ReplyDeletePoor boy! Sometimes it's so hard to be a kid.
