I love puddles that don't go un-splashed and those first few drinks from a can of a Coca-Cola.
I love skirts that go past my knees, the Eiffel Tower, and when my hair touches my bare shoulders.I love chubby baby haunches, player-pianos, and the look in an eye.

I love the tippy tappy tapping of the keyboard on a quiet morning, new shoes, and muffins and real butter.
I love Kids Eat Free night, folk songs, and forgiveness.
You know, the simple things.

Okay, I think I love baby leg warmers, although if you tell anyone I'll deny it.
ReplyDeleteI adore her in full bohemian garb. Swoon.
ReplyDeleteI love the first few sips from coca-cola too. I'd always steal sips from my husband's can but now I need my own can. Cute pictures as always

They are adorable shoes. I got to see first hand last night. I want a pair for me. I love muffins with real butter too!
ReplyDeleteI love long skirts too! So comfy!
ReplyDeleteCute shoes! Wonder if they come in EXTRA WIDE?! :)
What size shoe does Ivy wear? I'm thinking my niece needs a pair for when she's old enough for them.
ReplyDeleteIvy wears a size 4 and they fit great! She has very meaty feet, is almost 10 months old, and wears size 4 in other brands, too.
ReplyDeleteSteph
What a wonderful list. I love your list and even more that you shared. We forget about the simple loves like the first sip of a drink...
ReplyDeleteI also love that this post made me smile.
xoxo
This post made me warm and fuzzy..*sweet*. Too bad I don't have a toddler, otherwise I would be inclined to buy those shoes (maybe even the whole baby bohemian outfit!)because you totally "sold" me with your words.

ReplyDeleteThe shoes are SO cute.
She looks adorable -- as always.
ReplyDeleteI have a potential boyfriend for her -- I am going to be bringing my six month-old Colin with me to BlogHer. Meet you guys in the lobby for a nursing session maybe?
I love how you see life, Steph! Thanks for the dose of cuteness and positive thinking today. I really needed it!
ReplyDeleteLOVE chubby baby haunches, and that picture of those leg warmers...delicious! Lol.
ReplyDeleteWriting in the early morning before anyone gets up, good coffee (which I haven't had in over a year), the breeze in the pines, Oscar's smile...so many wonderful things to love.
So I did a Simple post today too (with boy shoes of course) and EVEN SO, it took me until the end of your post to realize the shoes were involved. That's a compliment. I was taken in and falling in love with the shoes without even noticing. Dang, you're good :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post. Aren't you LOV-IN' these shoes? For realz, I big puffy heart them SO much.

ReplyDeleteNell
WOW, we are so alike! I agree with all your wrote but especially those first few sips ... I can never finish a can of coca-cola, but mmmm ... those first sips are the best!
ReplyDeleteLove those shoes and as always LOVE your photos!
Loving loving....
ReplyDeleteis the loveliest thing.
Beautiful....
Both Elizabeth and I are big fans of skirts that go past the knees too. Admittedly, Elizabeth's preference seems to be driven by her love of being able to shove the skirt into her mouth (something that is complicated to do with a shorter skirt...)
ReplyDeleteYep, gonna have to have a pair of the girls ones too! So cute on Miss Ivy. : )
ReplyDeleteher feet are SO cute.
ReplyDeleteand i'm wearing long dresses a lot these days. perfect for any occasion.
Let's face it, Ivy makes everything look good. :)
ReplyDeleteSide note: You probably don't remember this (it was quite a while back), but I once won a baby sling from you that I unfortunately didn't realize wouldn't fit until after the contest was over. Anyway, I just wanted to say that thanks to you and your blog, I didn't give up on becoming a babywearer and, as of today, I'm the proud new owner of my first wrap (a Moby, woohoo!) Even my hubby and big girls are excited! I just wanted to let you know, and that in a few short weeks, when I wear my newest little one for the first time, I'll be thinking of you and the inpiration you are. Thanks Steph!
Yes to baby haunches!
ReplyDeleteYes to those first few soda sips!
Baby legwarmers make me want a girl! Sweetness!
ReplyDeleteI got a pair of Simple shoes at a consignment sale last year and LOVE them on my son. He wears them all of the time. I recently went online to look at the new collection so that I can buy him another pair for school this year. They are the best! :-)
ReplyDeleteI wish Kids Eat Free nights were more common. I'm a huge fan of restaurants that offer those kind of amenities.
