I love loving.

I love puddles that don't go un-splashed and those first few drinks from a can of a Coca-Cola.

I love skirts that go past my knees, the Eiffel Tower, and when my hair touches my bare shoulders.

I love chubby baby haunches, player-pianos, and the look in an eye.

I love the tippy tappy tapping of the keyboard on a quiet morning, new shoes, and muffins and real butter.

I love Kids Eat Free night, folk songs, and forgiveness.

You know, the simple things.

Ivy's shoes are part of the new toddler collection by the eco-friendly Simple®
, made with recycled and sustainable materials. They sent us this adorable pair (and we've already tested the eco-certified washable suede... the mud wiped right off and they look like new) and are offering 10% off your first purchase if you use code Simplemommy.

  10. What size shoe does Ivy wear? I'm thinking my niece needs a pair for when she's old enough for them.

  11. Ivy wears a size 4 and they fit great! She has very meaty feet, is almost 10 months old, and wears size 4 in other brands, too.

I have a potential boyfriend for her -- I am going to be bringing my six month-old Colin with me to BlogHer. Meet you guys in the lobby for a nursing session maybe?

  21. LOVE chubby baby haunches, and that picture of those leg warmers...delicious! Lol.

Writing in the early morning before anyone gets up, good coffee (which I haven't had in over a year), the breeze in the pines, Oscar's smile...so many wonderful things to love.

  22. So I did a Simple post today too (with boy shoes of course) and EVEN SO, it took me until the end of your post to realize the shoes were involved. That's a compliment. I was taken in and falling in love with the shoes without even noticing. Dang, you're good :)

  29. Both Elizabeth and I are big fans of skirts that go past the knees too. Admittedly, Elizabeth's preference seems to be driven by her love of being able to shove the skirt into her mouth (something that is complicated to do with a shorter skirt...)

  32. Let's face it, Ivy makes everything look good. :)

Side note: You probably don't remember this (it was quite a while back), but I once won a baby sling from you that I unfortunately didn't realize wouldn't fit until after the contest was over. Anyway, I just wanted to say that thanks to you and your blog, I didn't give up on becoming a babywearer and, as of today, I'm the proud new owner of my first wrap (a Moby, woohoo!) Even my hubby and big girls are excited! I just wanted to let you know, and that in a few short weeks, when I wear my newest little one for the first time, I'll be thinking of you and the inpiration you are. Thanks Steph!

  35. I got a pair of Simple shoes at a consignment sale last year and LOVE them on my son. He wears them all of the time. I recently went online to look at the new collection so that I can buy him another pair for school this year. They are the best! :-)
