it's so hawt


It's so hot here that my camera keeps fogging up when I try to take pictures at the park!


So we're staying cool on the merry go round.


You know my first sling maker Kim of KimzKreations? Well, she makes beautiful solarveil slings perfect for summer and water. The solarveil offers up some protection from the sun and is also very lightweight on a hot summer day.

She sent me a new one in pink for Ivy just because and it's already on loan for a friend to try out at the beach, so I didn't get a photo in it yet (but you can see me wearing my black one she gave me, also out on loan, here with Gray.)

Kim's such a giver (like me, apparently!) and she wants to make one for you using a pair of very special rings she has, and you can choose from several fabric colors if you win.

  7. Oh, I'd love one of those for my little Beverlie! I've been so worried about the sun burning her again. She's only 3 months old and has already had her first sunburn despite my best efforts to keep her out of the sun. =(

    My camera has been doing that a lot lately also, it is so frustrating at times.

  11. I was just thinking about how I wish I had a better carrier for those sooo hot darn days. We just bought an Ergo- TOTALLY LOVE, but it does make Audrey hot. Sooo, I hope I win! That would make my day, week, month, year! I have never won anything before!

  19. We live in FL and Jill just loves to be outside, so I hope my little man likes the great outdoors too:) What better way to break him in nicely then to wear him in comfort and style! Oh please, oh please with a cherry on top!:)

  20. We spent a very hot Wednesday at a free spray park about 25 min from our house. Nothing is better than cooling off in the cold water then playing in the sand box for hours!!
    A light weight sling for the summer would be great!!

  67. I would absolutely LOVE a sling like this! I actually have been thinking about it wondering if there are slings out there made for water! I have 3 small children .. 3 under 3 a 3 yr old, 2 yr old and 6 month old and I have been taking them into the pool and attaching baby with my ring sling which gets extremely heavy while in water and makes me hot! :-) So I was thinking something that would work in the water and would keep you a little cooler on summer days would be SO nice to have!! Especially with having 3 under 3, my sling has come in handy!! I am forever GREATFUL to whoever came up with the whole sling Idea to began with!! I just LOVE the one that I have! ;-)

  97. It's too hot here as well. Especially for me, being 26 weeks pregnant with our third. The first two seem unaffected by the heat and could play outside all day! I would love to win the sling. We spend lots of time at my grandparents' cottage on the lake and know that we will need a sling for our little one. Stay cool!

  181. 4 kids and I've never owned sling that could be used in water (well, I did use mine in water, but they didn't work too well 'cause they're not designed for it).
