After driving to Michigan for burgers (I had a chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries if you must know) I told Erin that her birthday ice cream at Oink's was on me. That was until it was time to pay and they took cash only. Our ice cream was actually on her. Go me.[Ok so my main reason for posting this photo was because I liked my bangs. And the fact that most of my face is covered by that hugenormous menu.]

How funny!! A friend never cares about laying down money for ice cream. They are just glad to have someone to share it with. :)
ReplyDeleteI like this photo for the SAME REASON. The part about my face being covered, not yours because you can't tell that I'm pale from lack of sleep, dental work, and all the Vicodin I was taking. SCORE.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I love you for being the type of friend that has good intentions but is thwarted by an entire town that apparently only takes cash. I mean, really what are the odds we'd go to TWO places that only take cash? Plus, you might recall that I was basically forcing you to have ice cream, so it's only fair that I paid for it!
Hahahaha. Glad you had fun though! Mmm....Redamaks. YUM!
ReplyDeleteI am consistently in the middle of the card/cash battle - the card always wins. Frustrating really, but carrying cash is totally not the "in" thing to do..um..right?
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun time!
Toni
lol. oops, at least you offered. ;)
ReplyDeleteNow I am hungry. Redamaks is gross -- but in such a good way. That cheese . . .
ReplyDeleteI have done this on more occasions than would be considered forgiveable. Isn't it the "thought" that counts, anyway? :)
ReplyDeleteOh Redamak's! I want a burger now.
ReplyDeletematt and i were just saying last night that we couldn't believe that we haven't been to redamak's this year. we always have to remind each other, "you have cash, right?!" since we hardly ever use cash! =)
ReplyDeletei like your bangs, too! =)
Boy, you do have class. Just kidding, of course. Being as cute as you are, why would you possibly think you need to cover your face? The bangs are really cute though.
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I saw the picture I was in love with the bangs too!
ReplyDeleteWow! I wasn't sure if that restaurant was still there. My dad used to take us there when we were kids. You're photo brings back a lot of memories. Now I'll have to drag my family down there (we're in the SW Michigan area) so I can get all nostalgic on them. =)
ReplyDeleteYour bangs are bangin'! Sorry.
ReplyDeleteThe cash thing sounds like something I would do. I NEVER have cash.
You drove all the way to New Buff for burgers? you go girl! Drove by Valpo yesterday. Wish I could have texted but have no texting....poor me.
ReplyDeletehaha, that sounds like something I would do! I told my Mother in law I'd take her out to lunch and then couldn't find my wallet..nice, eh? haha! AND I LOVE the carseat you got for Ivy-so cute!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool friend that you'd drive two states away to have birthday lunch! (Even if the friend paid for it.)
ReplyDeleteI love Redamaks! And nice friends. Yumm and yay.
ReplyDeleteYour eyes really stand out with those cute bangs. I would have ordered what you did. I didn't know they only take cash. Glad you gals had fun!
ReplyDeleteLMAO...I've actually done that on more than one occasion to people...I know..it's so bad...but I always pay them back! It happens!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! Those cash only places kind of sneak up, don't they? That happened to my husband and me in, of all places, Portugal. We took this fabulous vacation back in 1995. We had Traveler's Checks and credit cards and all the things you're told to travel with. Not much cash. We were at this restaurant that was rated high by Fodor's... and we ate and ate and ate. When we got the bill, Barry pulled out his Traveler's Checks. No. Then credit card. No. Then cash. Not enough. The owner of the restaurant came over to our table, yelled at us in Portuguese (we know a little of the language and it was not nice!) and then ESCORTED BARRY TO A BANK ACROSS THE STREET. I sat at the table thinking about maybe this was a kidnapping of an American tourist. I must say that the 10 minutes he was gone was absolutely terrifying... and I kept thinking about why we let these people terrorize us. It ended well... Barry got American money... which the owner wanted. Our travel agent told us to report the restaurant to Fodor's... which we did. Oh, I'm so happy that Erin had cash!!!!
ReplyDeleteOk, now I really really want bangs. And sweet potato fries. And a burger.
ReplyDeletei'm in michigan. where is this place? never heard of it!
ReplyDeletesounds great. and fun. cool!
