Feed Me, See More.

For all my die hard feed readers out there, you might want to click on over and see my beautiful new design thanks so much to Beth of Ruby & Roja. I told her that I love it so much I want to wear it.

I am hoping to do a bit of blog housekeeping around these parts in the next week or so. Updating things like my FAQ and making a real About page and such. I am hearing that I need a media page, however I can't help but feel a bit braggadocios by listing all my awards and accomplishments here on the blog. Not that I personally mind when I see it on someone else's blog, but anyway. What do you think about stuff like that?

(And who knew that's how you really spell braggadocios??)

If you're a Mom or have a Mom, I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day. You can read more about mine here at NWIparent: It's Mother's Day! Whoop De Doo! P.S. And thank you, Oprah.

  1. As a PR person, I highly recommend a media page. It will help future media see your amazing expertise and gives even more credibility to your blog. Thanks for blogging and Happy Mother's Day!

  6. I love it. It really is wearable.

And about the media page. My not being able to even really understand what it is shows my cluelessness. I was actually going to email YOU and ask your advice about that kind of thing. On the EO, I've simply just blathered on and added only blogher ads, and somehow I ended up on the Nielsen thing with the likes of you.

I still have no clue about all the other stuff. So with that lame introduction, I WILL add that the extra stuff I see on blogs doesn't bother me at all. The only time it does is when that's all there is to the blog, if that makes sense. When it feels like there's no actual person behind the blog, and that WOULD NOT be the case with you. Your heart and your writing always shine the brightest. Awwwww :)

  8. I have a press page for when I've been written about or received an honor such as the Nielson Power 50. But then I have an awards page for Blog Awards that I just realized might be a bit confusing, if people go there to expect all my awards and accomplishments.

So, now I'm stuck wondering if I need to change that.

I already told you I love your design :)

  15. I don't think a media page is a bad thing at all. I agree with Lori -- if it helps future media get in touch with you, then do it!
If I had anything to write on one, I'd do it myself ;)

I love your Mama's day post too. So funny and so true. I got to take the day off diaper duty and dinner and dishes, 2 days a year I can count on it and I love it!

Glad you had a good day. you deserve it.

  20. I thought that it was a new layout from when I was here last week but then I'm very new to your blog and thought perhaps I was just confused - that happens often - LOL.

  22. I LOVE "About" pages and find them quite interesting. I click on them semi-regularly.

"Media" pages? Not so much. I don't mind if they're there, but I don't really read them. That said, I bet the PR people do. :)

  23. I love the new look. Very you.

As far as a media page goes... go for it. If someone doesn't want to see it, they don't have to click on it.
