Bunny Hop

Ivy is the first of all our children to actually crawl on all fours. And she does it in usual Ivy-fashion in the cutest of ways.

  1. super cute! When My daughter started crawling at 5 1/2 months, I captured a ton of it on video, I'm so happy I did. I always find my daughter crawling for anything that is shiny..my cell phone, my keys, etc. She could care less about her toys half of the time..too funny!

  2. Gosh, 7 and a half months alREADy?? Funny how quickly they learn - looks like she was trying to talk into the phone at the end. LOL Such a cutie!

  3. Oh that is adorable, Ivys crawl is very similar to Edens, we just started too! Is it bad that I've been putting her in dresses because it slows her down? I'm SO not ready for a mobile baby, it's going so fast this time!

  4. That is sooo funny! She looked like she was getting ready for a track sprint at the beginning. Once she started going you could almost see springs in her legs :)

What did your other kids do if they didn't crawl on all fours?

I can't wait for Elizabeth to start crawling - she obviously wants to whenever we do tummy time but can only scoot a few cm at a time on her belly, which she finds supremely frustrating after ten minutes or so.

  6. Adorable! I can't wait to see her crawling action in person.
That's funny that she's the first of your children to crawl on all fours... Luke never did. He army crawled up until he started walking.

  8. that is SOOO cute! The girls do that same hop but they haven't figured out how to use their arms to move them forward quicker. They just hop, bounce their way places.

  14. That's adorable. I love her little bounce in her "step." My daughter started crawling quite young and it was so cute to watch. My son crawled late and walked early so we had far less time to watch the little butt-wiggle-fast-crawling phase.
Also, I've decided the phone thing must be a girl thing! Kennedy make anything into a phone. This morning she put a sticky breakfast plate up to her ear and was having a chat with "Na-na!" Oh, girls are cute!

  20. She is such a little preformer. She waited until she was sure you were ready with the camera and then even gave a little extra there at the end. So sweet!

  27. That is the cutest crawl ever. My granddaughter shouldn't be too far behind her. Right now, she rolls any place she needs to go.

  30. very cute!

Babywearing q: I'd really like to work in my garden, but baby doesn't like being left in a seat. She's almost 4 weeks. Is it safe to wear her on my back and what type of carrier is best for back? I can't wear her on my front & garden - too much forward leaning.

  37. Oh, that is seriously so cute! I love that you used your phone as "bait." My 2-year-old is fascinated by my iPhone and already knows how to use it about as well as I can. LOL. She can unlock the pad, find bookmarked movies on YouTube, play games, etc. :)
