Pretty Bird

I'm attempting a post from my iPhone before I hit the hay. Hallmark has us staying at an awesome Hyatt- our room is so nice. I am having memories of about 1 year ago when I was at the Disney Mom Blogger event and Ivy was just a rumbly in my tumbly- we'd yet to know she was a she. I was lying in bed in the big hotel room all to myself just talking to her inside there. And now here she is one year later sleeping soundly on the outside of me. Pinch pinch.

Today at the airport Ivy's thing was to find the one person NOT paying attention to her, and then she would do everything she could, all cockatiel head bouncy and flirty, until yet again she was the center of even that person's universe.

A family was taking pictures near us at the gate and they said Cheese! and Ivy whipped her head around and looked for the camera. She's fierce.

I'm excited for what's to come tomorrow.

Figuratively and literally.

  1. Girl, you can tell one heck of a story. It seems like last week that you posted that you were pregnant. I was shocked because I was pregnant too and hadn't said anything yet. I kinda can't believe we both had girls. How did you type all that on the iPhone? You are dedicated.

  2. I need to get the hang of blogging from my phone. My old one was automatically updating on here, but I changed networks and now it doesn't. :-( which means web blogging from my phone and it is a pain! I'd rather wait.... but then I forget..... LOL!

  6. Ivy's behavior at the airport reminds me of when she was trying so hard to get Brian's attention that one night. She is such a flirt--I love it!

  13. Hope you're having so much fun! She is a cute cute cute girl, so I would be the one to totally pay attention to her. My husband thinks I'm crazy for looking at other people's little kids, he says I'm like a baby stalker. Whatev. He just doesn't get it.

  19. I love reading your blog! I was so swamped at work this past week and weekend that I just didn't have time for much else, but I just spent the last half hour reading about your week and just wanted to say: THANKS. You are so great at sharing your day and still relating to us all on great levels. Have fun at Hallmark with Ivy; I'm excited to hear all about it!

  20. You are such a great blogger. How do you write such poignant pieces in so few words? I ramble on and on and it never seems as deep as your writing.

I hope you enjoyed your time in KC. I'll be heading there in May.

  21. Well, your "attempt" turned out wonderfully. I still haven't used my iPhone for that purpose yet.

I know I've told you this a million times, but I'll say it again: your words are pure joy to read. You have an excellent command of the English language and, when I read your posts, I often feel like I'm reading poetry {either that or Winnie-the-Pooh...I love that "rumbly in my tumbly" reference}. :)
