Just A Smidgeon

When Ivy sleeps she sprawls. Like a long stretched cat with arms up and even the fuzz on her head reaches as far as it can. Her face and her chin and her nose down to her tummy and her legs are in complete abandon.

She's very mobile now. Not crawling but doing the most lady-like butt scoot with her legs bent to the side and if you were sitting here with us you wouldn't think she is going anywhere. But soon you'll notice that, hey, how did she get all the way over there?

She'll be in the same position but now playing with the toy that was a few feet away just moments before. She's grabbed a book or found paper to crumple or that one lone piece of fuzz the vacuum missed.

In a relationship. Your faith. A few extra pounds.

A little smidge can take you very far away. Over time.

  5. I love this picture! She is the best baby and I'm not just saying that cause she's my grand-daughter. I think that bum scootin' is the cutest way of getting around. She is 100% girly.

  9. I canNOT wait to meet her and eat her up. That is, if you don't mind trading babes for a bit to do so.

You and I blogged similarly today lol

  10. Well, that is just one of the most true statements I have ever heard. Baby Sister inch worms but she gets around the room. Faster if you are not watching it seems. :)

  11. She's beautiful! Complete abandon is exactly what I'm learning most from my baby daughter (9 weeks old). We could all learn how to strech out and let go!

  22. I am not sure how I came to find you but I am glad I did. Oh great... another blog to follow. grin. It is so fun to find another mama that is only a little "crunchy" but still has a passion for homebirth.

  24. that's how my little angel sleeps - unless she is in "favorite sleeping position #2" on her belly with her legs tucked under her and her rear end sticking up in the air :)

also such a truth at the end... a smidgen at a time really can take us farther than we could ever imagine
