I found joy in the laundry today. It's not like I was super excited about the crazy piles of it all but the mountain just didn't seem so big. Or rather... climbing that mountain didn't seem so impossible.
It's felt pretty impossible lately. I can't stand the 'tude I've had.
But today four doesn't feel like so many.
And all that goes with it.
This is just life. The lampshade hasn't fallen in several days. Mainly because the door is just left wide open.
But I am even finding joy in that.

Oh, good, I'm glad you're enjoying it. I've been having really good, patient days lately...and today has been a little more whiny. Thanks for the reminder that it's my 'tude that needs the work, not the whiny, teething, tired baby. :)
ReplyDeleteI just wish I could bend over... then that mountain of laundry wouldn't seem so bad :) Oh the joys of being 32 weeks pregnant! I can't wait until #2 gets here - your four are wonderful, I love the pictures. And it's oh so true - usually it's my 'tude that needs the work - not anyone elses!
ReplyDeleteAhhh, I've had that same 'tude lately :) It creeps in every once in awhile when I can't seem to stay on top of the laundry, dishes, etc. But I have to remind myself that that's so not what life is about. I have so many things (people) to be thankful for. When I stop to count my blessings that darn 'tude seems to melt away :)
ReplyDeleteYou seriously have the cutest stinkin' kids!
ReplyDeleteI need to find some joy in my laundry! We seem to be out of matching socks. ;o)
ReplyDeleteLove the photos!
Its so good to have those "good" days, sometimes it feels like the world can be so overwhelming, but just taking a deep breath and looking at those beautiful healthy kids that God gave us makes it so worth the bad days! :)
ReplyDeleteHow will two ever be! But your four are oh so cute!
ReplyDeleteglad to hear the joyful tone in your post! now you have inspired me to finish my laundry.
ReplyDeleteMust be the day for laundry. I've done three loads so far.
ReplyDeleteI too have been finding joy in the chaos as of late. I think the key is to just let go and let the day roll as it may. Life is so beautiful and my frustration of the little things just blocks that joy and beauty.
Love the pics.
Love the pics! Your kids are so cute and look like they can be hilarious!
ReplyDeleteHow nice that you have found your groove. I am still working to find mine. Making chnges that I feel need to be made and finding my out from under the mountain of laundry but it is okay.
ReplyDeleteI L-O-V-E the pics. And way to go finding joy in the every day. That is hard. Very hard.
ReplyDeleteI love those pics. Were you on a ladder or the roof?
ReplyDeleteThose diamond days. They come right when you need them, and they're almost always a surprise.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're getting some fresh air.
Sweet pic! Ivy looks so big there and long! I found joy in laundry the other day too--when I decided to fold it on the back porch. I am thankful for nice weather right now, it makes life a tad bit easier!
ReplyDeleteIt's the sunshine... making life more livable!
ReplyDeleteWe are *so* soul sisters. I feel like the words you write are my very own...XO
ReplyDeleteI love laundry time usually I get to hide in the bedroom and fold it all a bunch of loads at the same time.
ReplyDeleteAdore those pictures
ReplyDeleteJenn
I totally relate and love the photos!
ReplyDeleteMore kids are hard, but so worth it. I agree.
ReplyDeleteLove this picture. Were you on top of the slide?
ReplyDeleteIt's also amazing what a little sunshine will do for one's spirit. Don't forget that we are ALL coming out of the winter yuckies.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling good about laundry. I hear ya! I have a clean kitchen!! Woooohoooo!!!
Those shots are amazing.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you're finding joy in the simplest of things. I wash our sheets every week, because climbing into a bed with fresh, clean sheets every Sunday night helps me find joy in the start of a new week. Otherwise I'd just be plain miserable!
I tend to think it is something else. Never me! But yes, it is my attitude at fault when the day goes from bad to worse. Glad you are finding joy.
ReplyDeleteI like laundry! I wash all day and then fold when the kids are napping and watch Lie to me or The Office online!
I'm glad you are having a good day. Isn't it amazing that our attitude and the way we feel makes such a huge difference?
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing.
Oh, I'm so glad! Being in a funk is so not fun, but I find that coming out of one is always quite relieving.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos of the kids! WOW! There are 4 of them ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm off to search for some joy in my piles of laundry! I ususally end up finding the most joy when it's all done, folded, and put away!
Love you, girl!
I just love smelling the clean laundry.
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are priceless and adorable! : )
Your kids are totally cute! I think I like "chaotic" pictures best of all...
ReplyDeleteI conquered Mount Laundrymore today, too! Alas, Mount Dishmore in the kitchen grew. But that's tomorrow's problem, I guess!
ReplyDeleteWhat cute pictures! It looks like you were standing somewhere very high up =)
ReplyDeleteGood for you. I've been overwhelmed lately and I hate that feeling. I love the picture of all the kids. Really cute.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the motivation today! Love those pictures!
ReplyDeleteJoy in the laundry? I pictured you pulling a $20 bill out of hubby's pants - now that is TRUE JOY to find in the laundry!!!
ReplyDeleteOr a quarter. You know - anything 'cept pocket lint...
