Ok, so there were others on the call, too- blogging friends of mine that I actually know in person like Janice from 5 Minutes For Mom, Amy from Parentsphere, Arianne from To Think Is To Create, Michelle from Scribbit, Beth from I Should Be Folding Laundry, & Maria from Diary of a Blue Suit Mom. And also Kim from Jogging In Circles, Katja from Skimbaco Lifestyle, and Trisha from MomDot, all who I hope to meet someday!
And I'll help you get over the jealousy... I didn't shower, was still in my pj's AND nursing Ivy while I asked my question, and I'm wearing my hubby's socks.
And let me just say that it was very fun talking to a celebrity. He is a great guy and is CRAZY about his wife. Reminds me of my hubby!
Anyway...

The question that I decided to ask was the one Sharon suggested-
Possibly your most important "role" has been helping your own Mom through cancer. Your fragrance Unscripted is about creating memories. Can you give us one wonderful memory that your Mom created for you as a child. A memory that you'll never forget?
He answered that some of the best memories he had was growing up in jr high in Maine. In the winter they'd have snow days and back then in those days his mother was active and they liked to cross country ski. During the snow storms they'd go through the woods into town & then ski back- making some of the most fond memories of time with his Mom.
Then I got to ask ANOTHER question so I asked if his Mom liked the fragrance. And he answered honestly that it's taking a while to grow on her! I'm a Mom and I like it! Hope that counts...
Patrick's involvement with Avon came about through his lovely wife Jillian- she is an amazing makeup artist and I actually wear her makeup line from Avon and LOVE it.
He didn't just want to do a photo shoot & hold up a bottle. (Love that!) Patrick was very involved in the creation of Unscripted from the bottle inside out! Here are the notes of the fragrance that he enjoyed working with the chemistry on:
top note:
pepper
lavender
water anis accord
cardamom
heart or mid note:
violet leaves
lavender
sensual fig accord- this became some of the key note as well as Patrick's favorite lavender
bottom (textural woods of the fragrance):
musk
vetiver
patchouli
The idea behind it all was to follow your passion. Not to be just about HIM, but following your passion.
To thank Sharon for her help in creating my question, Avon is sending her a bottle of Patrick's new fragrance Unscripted! It does smell quite dreamy I must say. (And I have expensive taste in these things.) You'd never guess it only costs $32 a bottle! Would make a fabulous stocking stuffer for any man or woman in your life.
Use Promo Code JINGLE30 for free standard shipping with a $30 order when you shop with an eRepresentative! Ends 1/31/09.
And of course, we don't want to leave you out! I have another bottle to give away. Comment here if you'd like to win!

ReplyDeletenever mind :)
Good question! And extra points for not showering. I just found your blog and love reading, my fourth baby is a few days younger than Ivy and she loves her sling, thanks in part, thanks for the inspiration!

ReplyDeleteRegardless of your pj wearing, Ivy nursing, sock lounging self, I am still envious! :)~
ReplyDeleteI am jealous...right down to still being in your jammies!! He sounds as dreamy as we all imagine :)
ReplyDeleteOh, Steph! I just got home from a Stop & Shop luncheon in Boston and I was so excited to see if you had had your interview with Patrick... and not only did I relish each word, but I get a gift, too! I LOVE the "chemistry" notes... and I can't wait to receive my Unscripted! Patrick's choices of chemistry scents are so wonderful. I LOVE lavender and cardamom and fig... all delightful aphrodisiacs, I might add (I know this because of my research in writing a book about preconception... !!!!). Can you say McDreamy? I am just so amazed and honored that you used my question, and I can just see Patrick skiing through the woods into that lovely little Maine town with his Mom. Some of my very best moments as a Mom are the ones I spent in Maine skiing with my own children...
ReplyDeleteThanks tons!
Patrick...RAWR....Patrick...RAWRRRRr
ReplyDeleteOh, sorry, were you saying something about perfume or something?
rawwwwrrrrr.....
Oh how exciting! Did you ever think that a blog could lead to so many things!
ReplyDeleteHow fun that you got to talk to Patrick! And, ask two questions!!
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to win!! :)
Hey Stephanie...I just found your site off of Robin Blane's site. I didn't think I'd find so many CBSers out there. I am excited to see who all we were in school together with, even if only for a spell. At any rate, hello and nice to read a bit about you.
ReplyDeleteGood job! How much fun to be nursing and ask a celeb TWO questions! Love it.
ReplyDeleteI think that'd be great to give my hubby for Christmas (or my dad...or my FIL...)
I guess Avon has come along way since my youth when the "avon lady" would come with her big case and my Nanny (Grandmother) would look at all the new lipstick colors. Is this a fragrance for men or women? I'm kind of confused. If my hubby would wear a fragrance, I would love it, but he won't. I however like to smell nice. If I win I could always gift it to someone (if it is for a guy.)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win a bottle. I've been wearing the same fragrance for 8 years. Time for a change. :)
ReplyDeleteBetween your post and Beth's post, it sure sounds like you guys had fun! :) I'd love to win this!
ReplyDeleteso SWEET! LUCKY! I'd love to give my hubby a bottle for Christmas :)
ReplyDeleteI'm trying not to hate you right now. He had me at "Can't Buy Me Love"
ReplyDeleteOh, and I tweeted too.
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge McDreamy fan~he seems so down to earth!
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun. I am jealous, even though you were wearing your husband's socks. :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win a bottle! I just tweeted about it, too!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool that all you girls got to talk to McDreamy! ; )
ReplyDeleteCount me in for the fragrance! Sounds yummy!
