It is always a little sad to realize it is over. But if you celebrate Three Kings Day (Epiphany, Little Christmas etc)the season goes on for ten more days.
I never even "caught" the Christmas feeling this year. It was a weird year for me. But, I get the "blink and it's gone". That's how I'm feeling about time off from work. I don't ever want to go back!!
I don't know about you but this Christmas didn't even feel like it happened. Before I knew it Christmas was here...it didn't feel like Christmas and now it's over. I was a bit of a scrooge this year for some reason.
blink, blink and it is tomorrow already for me too! we had yet another "handmade holiday" and i think this was the best one yet :) the kids are thrilled with the things that mama and daddy made this year. hopefully i will have a minute to blog it all this afternoon!
It isn't over here, many more to be celebrated with this person, or this part of the family. Ugh... it used to be a happy time, wasn't so much of a chore...
Yes, it does seem like such a colorful, musical blur...!
I actually spent 5 hours today putting away most all of my Christmas decorations (I kept the tree, of course!)... and tonight when Barry and I came home from a movie (Benjamin Button - just excellent!), I felt so good to enter a sparking home! I LOVE Christmas... but when it's over, I find I have to move onto the New Year in a very orderly fashion!
I know, it doesn't even feel like Christmas was here...
ReplyDeleteNah. Christmas isn't over until January sixth! I'm making homemade doughnuts right now because it's Boxing Day. xo
ReplyDeleteGray looks so grown up. I know, I can't believe it is over.
ReplyDeleteIt is a blur. A happy, beautiful blur, though!
