I went to bed very late last night and it hadn't been snowing then, so I thought he was just looking at frost on the neighbor's roof.
Uh, no.
There was snow. Lots of it. Enough for a two-hour school delay.

I quickly woke Jeff up so he could get the driveway cleared in time for work and garbage day!
Then I bundled all the kids up and took a picture, of course.
Wow! And we had near 80 in Denver today!
ReplyDeleteAwwwww, Ivy's first snow with her brothers. :)
ReplyDeleteOH I wish.... it hasn't snowed more than an inch here since '93....
ReplyDeleteOh I would love some snow!! It was in the high 80's here. Great shot
ReplyDeleteI love it! They are adorable all bundled up. Our schools are never delayed/canceled for snow around here, even with a fresh foot or more of snow. But I guess that would be too often :) Our first snow melted off already, and we're waiting for the real winter to come.
ReplyDeleteDon't you love how quiet it make everything!?
Where was our snow?!? We arn't that far away and we got nothing! It is probably better that we didn't Aiden thinks that when it snows Santa will come...hes a little nervous about what happens when santa gets here! haha
ReplyDeleteI was hoping some of that was going to come our way, but no such luck. :( Cute pic too! Ivy looks so big already!
ReplyDeleteWe had our first snow of the season today. Although it was just a dusting on the car and not even laying on the ground. Brrr. I'm just not ready yet.
ReplyDeleteWow! So jealous! We went to Target (our home away from home) tonight and Chandler saw gloves. He asked if we could get a pair for when it snowed. I just laughed. We don't see REAL snow down here in GA!!! :) Can you send some snow our way?!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable picture. Ivy looks so big and I remember you getting that snow suit.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! Happy snow day! Ivy girl looks so big!
ReplyDeleteI love Ivy's snow suit. They're all so cute in their snow gear.
ReplyDeleteIvy is such a cute splash of pink in the picture! But they're ALL adorable :D And my native Ohioan husband will be very jealous of your snow!
ReplyDeleteOh my, snow already! We had flurries today which was crazy because I wasn't wearing a coat at all until this week! I'm pretty sure it was almost 70 this weekend. I guess the beautiful weather is officially gone! I love the little splash of pink in the midst of your strapping young men, cute pic!
ReplyDeleteHow did she ever get so big so fast?! Adorable. I can't believe they make such adorable snow suits. And of course your boys are quite handsome as always.
ReplyDeleteNell
Too cute!
ReplyDeleteOnly a few miles away and I had NOTHING.
but that is gonna be such a memorable photo for you all!
Too cute!! And SOOO unfair! We haven't had snow in Birmingham since I MET my husband - over 10 years! And the last time we had considerable snow was in 1994. . . 14 years ago!
ReplyDeleteNot that I'd want snow all the time - I love our mild climate - but it is a fun once a year thing anyway!!
I need to come visit!
Considering you are only a few hours up from us, I can't believe all that snow. I mean it's cold here, but barely a flurry have we seen! Must be that Chicago lake effect thing going on, even that far East! What fun for the kids!
ReplyDeleteThat's just crazy! Beth emailed me pictures this morning and it looks so breathtakingly white!
ReplyDeleteI hope you and the kids enjoyed the snow! Ivy looks so BIG in that picture. OMG. She's growing like a little weed!!
I love Ivy's snowsuit! Alice has a lame one from Marshall's. But she's cute in it anyway. :)
ReplyDeleteSnow is beautiful ... the first of the season, Christmas Day and a few other days BUT that is enough! I always love the first big storm!
ReplyDeleteA magical WW to you!
I am so jealous! We get half an inch here in SC and people think it's a blizzard. It only happens once a year, and it's melted by 1:00 the next afternoon. It makes me want to move to the mountains.
ReplyDeleteLove Ivy's snow suit! It looks like they all had a great time outside. I couldn't believe all the snow, either. I was putting my makeup on, saw the snowplow go by, and thought, "Now that can't be right..."
ReplyDeleteOh my word, snow! I wish!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the pink among all the blue/gray!
ReplyDeleteI don't miss the snow shoveling from living in NJ. TX winters are just right for me!
oh, boy... I am so unprepared to go to Chicago tomorrow! Yikes.
ReplyDeleteAw - I love that pink snowsuit! They all look wonderful...
ReplyDeleteWow, we still haven't had any snow yet in Merrillville!
