Quiet Down, Cobwebs!

I came across this video yesterday taken just an hour or so after Ivy was born. We were there on my bed and my midwife had just turned on the lights for the first time to check her out, and we took her first pictures.

Just one month ago.

Why does it have to go so very fast?

video

Yet, as I look at each one of my children I love who they are becoming and I have only experienced this life and this parenting thing getting better and better as time goes by.

But for now, let me rock her a little longer. I pray I can hold on to this sweet babyness as long as I can, because it certainly won't keep.

It does go SO fast. Comin' up on 3 weeks for mine. 3 weeks?!

I love her licking her chops, like "Where's Momma!?" lol

It's so bittersweet, isn't it? You want them to grow because it's a sign of a healthy child - but at the same time, you don't want them to change at all! Wonderful that you have such early video :)

We've only have one little one so far and I've loved every stage. With the first child you don't know exactly what's ahead, so you have that to look forward. Plus, you're experiencing everything for the first time and that's amazing as well! Is it like that with each child?

A month? Already? It's crazy how fast time goes. I have a hard time believing my Mia will be 11 months old in a few days.

I love the video. Ivy was so beautiful and hungry ;)

A whole month!! Time does fly! Everyday, I ask God to let the moments of motherhood last a little a longer. I feel like a child about to have to stop playing--"Just one more minute!"

What a sweet, sweet baby! I love her smacking her lips. "Where's my milk!?!" Oh, enjoy that little girl. I am holding my little girl, just turned 2 1/2, as I watched your video, and I hugged her a little tighter. Thanks for sharing!

Oh Steph, I guess I could be totally unoriginal and gasp about how it's been a month because I cannnnnot believe it.

But I'm just thinking about what you did the hour before, you know? that whole pushing a baby out of your gibblety bits, and you sound so alert and giddy. I don't think I was giddy.

Oh, this was the greatest morning. I just can't believe I got to be a part of it. I love that yell she had, maybe she will be a cheerleader. I need a baby to rock today, so I can excuse my cobwebs. I might be over to get in some cuddle time.

Isn't that the truth. I was looking at Libby yesterday not believing that she is almost 6 weeks old! It goes way too fast. I am holding her longer and not worrying about my dirty house :)
