One aspect about having a larger family is not just my gushy big heart love for my children, but also watching them love each other. Noah brought home a writing assignment yesterday that had to be about a Perfect Person. He had written it about Gray.
Gray is my brother. Gray loves me.
Gray is funny. He is nice. I love him too.
He likes to play dinosaurs.
He is little. He is two years old.
He has tan hair. He has tan skin.
He has little and big legs.
He has little arms.
He is a little kid.

I had to send a note to Noah's teacher because he was upset that she kept trying to correct him and make him write Gary. I explained to him that Gray isn't a common name and she probably thought he was misspelling it. I assured the teacher that his name is indeed Gray, short for Grayson. That made Noah feel better.
that might very well be the sweetest thing ever. i'm glad that gray's legs are short and long. hahahah
ReplyDeleteAdorable! And y'know what I think is even cuter is the fact he was upset that his teacher was trying to correct the spelling of his brother's name! Like he wouldn't know?! :) I bet he feels vindicated now that mom wrote a letter!
ReplyDeleteAwww that is so sweet!!!! Ha brotherly love. What a blessing to hear of this kind of love between sibling!!!!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet! Not all siblings have this wonderful relationship, so I hope it "sticks" and they realize what a treasure they have in their family.
ReplyDeleteWHY would a teacher tell a kid they're wrong about something when SHE DOESN'T KNOW??? Arrrgh!
I'm curious about the "little and big legs." Little as in short and big as in big around?? Very cute.
Thanks for sharing!
So cute! That has to make you feel good as a mom. I'm surprised that his teacher was trying to correct him. I have heard some really weird names lately and Gray is certainly not one of them! I have not however heard of anyone named Gary under say 40. :)
ReplyDeleteHe has blogging in his blood! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my! Doesn't that just warm the heart!? What sweetness sibling love is!
ReplyDeleteJane
That just about made me tear up!
ReplyDeleteWhat sweet little boys you're raising. :)
I hope you can save a copy of that & show to Gray when he's older.
Bless his heart!!! Gary!!! That was the sweetest essay! :)
ReplyDeleteHow sweet! The picture goes along perfect:) And if possible I have Sept. 11 in the pool hold off a couple more days:)
ReplyDeleteHow sweet!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gem!
ReplyDeleteThis is the best when we see our children showing love toward each other. I love having a large family and this is one of the reasons why.
ReplyDeleteVery cute poem.
That is too sweet! Sibling relationships are such a gift!
ReplyDeleteYour Uncle Clark & I both laughed @ this one! So sweet our little Noah! He's such an excellet big brother!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Aunt Diane
P. S. How are you feeling?
I love the 'tan' hair! So cute--I love Gray's tan hair. I wonder if my hairdresser can replicate it--we could call it GrayTan....
ReplyDeletedarling essay, darling boys!
Blessings!
I'm sorry . . . I do know how to spell excellent! Always in a hurry these days!
ReplyDeleteAunt Diane
This melts my heart. What an adorable show of love between brothers!
ReplyDeleteIt is so crazy how alike we are. Each day I've been feeling the exact same, cherishing my children, really drinking in each moment, the electricity of adding another family member amongst the already loving environment.
ReplyDeleteHis letter is simply adorable and should get framed :)
I love the little and big legs. That is so sweet!
ReplyDeleteAwe!! Noah wrote the sweetest things! You should frame that. What a sweet sweet moment for you with your sons-I am looking forward to those moments with my boys!
ReplyDeleteAnd super cool you wrote a letter to the teacher about Gray's name. That is strange she would insist on "correcting" his brother's name. It is indeed an uncommon name, but actually since "meeting" you, I have run into 3 other Gray's so it is not completely unusual. (I guess all were Grayson's, I dunno). OH, and one of the characters on "24" (tv show I have recently discovered and love) is named Grayson. Come to think of it, I dont think I know any Gary's besides the one really REALLY old guy that lives near my parents.
What a sweet boy!
ReplyDeleteWhen Aliyah was in 1st grade her teacher kept calling her A Lie yah, and she was too embarrassed to correct her so I had to send a note to school telling the teacher that her name was pronounced A LEE yah. haha.
That is so precious!
ReplyDeleteI love the part about Gray's legs being short and long! :-)
I got my giftcard in the mail yesterday BTW!!!! Thank you!
That is too adorable... and definitely a keeper. I agree that you should frame this little masterpiece! (with your blog secured to the back)...!
ReplyDeleteps The name Ivy will present no problems!
Warms the heart!
ReplyDeleteI love that love between siblings.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love those two boys, I want to squeeze really, really, really tight.
And the teacher thing??? Is annoying.
Aawwww! I bet that just warmed your heart into an even bigger puddle than ever!
ReplyDeleteThis is the sweetest ever! I hope the teacher gives Noah a big apology, bless his heart.
ReplyDeleteAw. I know how that must have warmed your heart. I cherish the rare moments when my three girls aren't fighting. :)
ReplyDeleteThat made tears come to my eyes! How wonderful that his litte brother is his perfect person. I wish I could hug Noah right now! (virtual hugs!)
ReplyDeleteHe is so sweet to say all those nice things about Gray! Glad you were able to set the teacher straight :)
ReplyDeleteHow truly special. You and hubby are certainly doing things right in this thing called parenthood for look at the incredible loving bond your boys have.
ReplyDeleteSo ... today is your big day in my due date guess for you. According to my prediction, you have to hold on until 11:20 pm tonight .... (insert big wink here)
That is so sweet. Poor guy trying to speak up in truth to his teacher about his little brothers name. Good for him and great job mom for writing that note!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it cute when you really see they love each other? So sweet it sometimes makes me cry! Now you're going to have a little girl with 3 big brothers!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet. One of my favorite things about parenting is watching the kids interact with each other. Well, when they are getting along. I could do with out the tormenting and fighting. ;o)
ReplyDeleteJust the sweetest!
ReplyDeleteI just started reading your blog as well as 5 Mins for Mom & Parenting. ;-) I just wanted to thank you for writing that letter. I remember very distinctly being in first grade & having to write a letter to either our mom or our grandmother for Mother's Day. I wrote to my Grandmother. We called her "Ma" & the teacher made me change it to "grandma" since usually people only called their moms "Ma." I was so upset! I still remember it all these years later!
ReplyDeleteso very sweet and precious! i adore that sibling love!
ReplyDeleteabsolutely adorable!
ReplyDeletetoo precious...def a keeper school paper!! :)
ReplyDeleteOh that brotherly love! It really is precious, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet =)
ReplyDeleteOh, that is too sweet.
ReplyDeleteHeh, too funny!
ReplyDeleteI do love the name Grayson by the way!
That is soooo sweet!!
ReplyDeleteOh my...that is just the sweetest thing ever!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet story! Minus the teacher part. Gray isn't that unusual of a name, and why wouldn't she trust that Noah knew how to spell his brother's name?
ReplyDeleteAwww what a sweetheart Noah is!
ReplyDeleteSee moments like these make me want mulitples of children [maybe not all in one birth but hey if the Lord blesses me...].
It's seems like these moments make it worth it.
That was just so touching! Gives me hope that my 3 year old may start loving the baby one day :)
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet, don't you just love watching their relationship grow!
ReplyDeleteI am sure Gray will be just as good a big brother as Noah is to him. :)
And just how precious is that?
ReplyDeleteOh that is just precious. You need to have that printed and framed.
ReplyDeleteThat's so sweet that he thinks so highly of his little brother! Also, my daughter's middle name is Grey, after my grandfather! Every time I see your Gray's name, I smile :)
ReplyDeleteAwwwww-so sweet! That's a keeper-especially when they're older and bickering . . . you can pull that out and really have some fun! ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh wow Gray is really cool! Having a different name is cool which is what we're aiming for. As for the writing, that is great! I hope you keep all his writings so when they do fight when they're older you can show it to them!
ReplyDeleteI do so LOVE it when my older one loves on his little brother. The sweetness is almost unreal. As is Noah's love for his brother.
ReplyDeleteToo funny about the name mix up...
How beautiful is that - it's so amazing when they decided to love each other :)
ReplyDeleteThat's so very sweet. Kinda makes me sad I've resigned myself to having 1...for now at least.
ReplyDeleteI know that Ladybug will miss certain things because she has no siblings to grow up with. (We have a daughter in heaven and have decided to not have any more.) But I know that we have a large church family who love her dearly, so she'll have "adopted" siblings to grow up with at church. These are sweet moments I hope to see too!
ReplyDeleteoh how i love how my babies love each other!
ReplyDeleteAhhh - brotherly love! Sweet and inspiring to read about.
ReplyDeleteNot only do I adore that story, but I'm laughing that she thought his name was Gary! LOL
